    Yard Dog Fencing installed our fence in November 2021. We paid $6,937.50. Within a couple of months, the fence started falling apart. We contacted the salesperson (***************************************), but he did not respond. We contacted him again in April 2022, and he said he would contact the office and get back to us. He did not. We contacted him again in July; he responded by asking for pictures, which we sent. He said he would report our situation, but we never heard anything back from him or the company. We continued to contact the salesperson and/or company every month from April - Sept 2022 until ********************** scheduled an appointment to view the work. He did not show up on the scheduled Sept 2022 date. We rescheduled, and he showed up and confirmed that the fence was horribly constructed and needed to be fixed. That was the last we heard from him or the company, even though we have reached out multiple times and through multiple platforms since then. We believe they ignored our complaint in order to run out the warranty clock, but, regardless, they did a terrible job and should stand by their workmanship despite their slow customer support process. We ask that they repair the fence to acceptable standards or refund the price so we can hire another company to repair (or if deemed necessary, replace) the Yard Dog fence.

    I paid to have Yard Dogs install a privacy fence in 2015 and now in 2022 I am having to replace it due to poor quality of material used. Everyone I have had look at the fence says that the wrong materials were used and that is why the posts and fence boards are rotting.

    This customer has not contacted our business within the last 5 years to discuss or give us an opportunity to address or fix any issues she has. If she is having issues with rotting posts, and thereby is having issues with the fence failing, or falling over, then she probably has a fence which was installed during a time where we did in fact receive some bundles of 4x4's which were provided to us by **************** in Nashville TN. These posts were treated, but not fully treated. These posts were purchased in good faith from a large company (**************** - a fence material distributor) and we had no control over the longevity of these posts. This WIDESPREAD issue affected every fence company in Middle Tennessee that was in operation during late 2014-early 2016. If the company purchased posts from any of the three fence distributors in Nashville during this time, they would have also been affected - (****************, ***********************, and *****************) All three of the large companies purchased these same posts during at least a portion of time.

    The reason we know this is probably what this customer is dealing with is because we have had other customers who called us to let us know what was going on and we came out to inspect, identify, and find solutions for each one of them. If this customer had called our offices we could have at least addressed the issues and provided at least two viable options to repair the issues.

    We acknowledge that this customer may have received poorly treated posts, but we also want to make sure that it's clear that we were also not given the opportunity to address the problem or even discuss the possibility of a solution.

    Revised Comment or Update:

    This customer did in fact have us out in 2018 to repair, reset, or replace a few 2x4's. This was prior to our knowledge of the widespread post issue which came to light in December of 2018 and then even further into the light in 2019. We did send a crew to stabilize the fence for a minimal fee that did not even cover the labor or gas to get there (trying to help her). But it is unfortunate that this fence is being replaced at this time. We can acknowledge that fact and the fact the it fell through the cracks.

    I would like to also add that all of our posts are now third party tested for proper ground contact treatment. We also no longer use *************** as a consistent supplier even though they also acknowledge this wide spread issue and have even been willing to offer assistance when we have been able to identify that the fence problems that have risen stem directly from premature issues with bundles of posts that were sold by them during that period of time.

    I did not reach out to Yard Dogs regarding my current situation because as stated when they came out to address the issues back in 2018 I was specifically told they were "doing me a favor, but it he issues I was having was not their problem". Based on being told it wasn't their problem I took it upon myself to start the process of having another company replace my fence.
