Complaint Will not return calls concerning work they agreed to do half a year ago or finish the repairs they started around the same time. Both my mom and sister's houses received hail damage back in November 2014. ***** **** Construction said that they would do the work, and they did re-shingle my sister's house. However, I noted some areas that they missed; they assured me they would be out to fix them "as soon as the temperature rises" (it's mid-July now); and they have never come back. My sister had them do some work on her chimney as well and has never received an invoice for that work so she can pay them. I have tried to get ahold of them multiple times, but evidently they don't want to be paid for that work.
Concerning my mom's house, no repairs have been done at all. I have called, texted, emailed repeatedly; the secretary assures me that someone will get back to me every time, and no one ever does. This has been going on for over 6 months and no one will get back to me or even give me a simple update. They assured us that they would communicate with our insurance company to see if the entire roof would be covered by them, but we can't even find out if that is taking place.
We did get one call several months ago to say someone will call in the next week to re-inspect the roof, but no one ever called. I have several texts that say they will call me tomorrow, and that has never happened. I have tried to communicate to them how important it is for them to communicate to us and have been ignored.
I have never worked with a company that shrugs me off as a customer so completely and simple will not return my calls or give me an update or send an invoice for the work they already did.
In the meantime their signs have been in those yards (without permission) advertising that they are doing work, which is not happening. They have left my mom confused about what to do.
Desired Settlement 1. remove your signs from those yards 2. finish repairs to my sister's house 3. send an invoice for the repairs on her house 4. call me with an update concerning the state of my mom's house and the other questions I have repeated emailed you. 5. finish the repairs on my mom's house
Business Response Contact Name and Title: ***** ****, Chief Manager Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *********@waynebelt.com This complaint represents 2 different insurance claims: #1 All the work was done at the time we were contracted to do it. In fact we re-roofed a large Dutch barn the insurance company had overlooked in the claim. We were waiting for the insurance company to pay the supplement before we billed clients. In addition the client ask us to repair damage that was not insurance related to the fireplace which we did immediately after the roof went on. So in that regard the repair work was done however we were waiting until the insurance paid before we settled up. That is why we had not sent an invoice in a timely manner. We apologize that our communication could have been better.
#2 The insurance company failed to approve one slope on the roof to be replaced with new shingles. In our professional opinion it should be replaced. We held up on starting the work and filed a supplement with the insurance company for them to cover this under the insureds policy. To date we do not have the approval. We have collected no money from the homeowner
We have spoken to the person who filed the complaint and offered to do go ahead and do the roof even if the slope not covered by insurance. If the insurance does not cover that we will absorb the cost.
We apologize for the lack of communication. We have removed the signs, are sending an invoice on #1, on #2 we have given an update and offered to complete #2 and cover the cost of the slope even if the insurance does not pay. The only item we need is the shingle selection from the homeowner.
In summary #1 all work was completed in a timely manner #2 The insurance company had not responded to supplement for additional work.
