CONWAY, SC – BBB Coastal Carolina shares the warning issued by BBB serving Northwest North Carolina about Mount Airy-based Better Built Garages. According to their records, 15 complaints have been filed against the garage builder since July 15. The currently F-rated business has allegedly collected at times up to 50 percent of structure costs but has not yet delivered.

“Because we have received a call here locally asking to file a complaint,” says Sandy Gamby, Interim CEO, “we share the same concern for consumers in our area that may have reached out to this business.”

BBB Coastal Carolina’s call was from a woman who said she had contracted and paid Better Build Garages but has not been able to reach them since.

Consumers are urged to contact BBB and the North Carolina Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division if they experience a potential loss from Better Built Garages. Said Gamby, “The first step of defense is to check a business at bbb.org; but even if it’s not, reporting any negative experiences can help us alert the public and often help the consumer.”
