Complaint Paid to have sprinkler heads adjusted and still had one shooting up in air hitting front door. He will not fix or return phone calls. Sprinkler heads were not raised above ground or replaced to keep sprinklers from hitting front door. Mr. **** promised to come back and fix and did not come back at a scheduled appointment time and now will not even return phone calls. I have paid a total of $215.00. He did replace 2 solenoids but did not fix the sprinkler heads that were broken. I ended up paying ********** $145.00 to correct the problem with the sprinkler heads.
Desired Settlement $145.00 because I had to pay again to fix the problem I requested Wards Landscaping to fix and this was not done.
Business Response The first time I was called to Ms. *********'s house she had several broken sprinkler heads and a couple that needed adjusting. The system was working and Ms. ********* was satisfied when I left. A few weeks later I received another call that the system was staying on. After investigating the system she had a valve that had burnt out and we replaced solenoids. A week or so later I received another call stating her sprinklers were spraying her door. I then sent my employee ******* ***** by to adjust the head at NO COST. When he left it was not spraying the door. After another week she called again stating the sprinkler was spraying her front door. I sent ******* back again to adjust at NO COST!! ******* stated to me that she was satisfied when he left. After another week or so she called again with the same problem. I told her I could not keep coming back at no cost and she stated that she would not pay me. So I have not been back. I knew ********** had been to her house I had talked to the guy that worked on her sprinkler heads. He told me that he told Ms. ********* that the problem he fixed had nothing to do with what I did. He stated that someone must be running over the head with the lawn mower.
Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Mr. **** is not being truthful. I called him the day after he said that he adjusted the sprinkler head that was causing the water to hit my front door. He did not call me back. I left messages for two weeks and finally I reached him on my cell phone. He said he would be out to fix the problem that day between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. but he did not show up that day. I left messages for him to please return a call to me or com3e to my home and fix the problem and that my daughter was at home every day. I also told him that I would pay for an additional service call. After several weeks I had to call someone else who was **********. He said the sprinkler head was hitting the front door because it was worn out and broken and could not just be adjusted.********** replaced the sprinkler head and corrected the problem. Mr. **** never called me back to this day.I would have gladly paid Mr. **** to replace that sprinkler head. He was also supposed to raise any sprinkler head that was to far above ground which he did not do. The problem was that he did not come back or call me the day after he said he adjusted the sprinkler head with water hitting the front door. And as I said he never showed up two weeks later when I finally was able to reach him and he did not show up or call me back. In my last voice message I said I was very disappointed that he did not show up as promised or even call me back and that was bad business. I also had paid him to fix the problem to start with. The large sprinkler heads go back into the ground. No one mowed the lawn the day after I reported that the problem was not fixed after he adjusted it the next day.
