S.A.R.A.H. (Sexual Assault Responders Advocating Healing)
S.A.R.A.H. was designed to provide emergency room assistance; 24-hr crisis intervention; assistance with crime victim compensation, court advocacy and counseling services.
L.E.A.H. (Letting Each Affliction Heal)
Outreach services offered for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault includes: group support, counseling and referrals services to social service programs.
Y.E.S. (Youth Empowered to Service)
Our House, Inc. youth services are provided to youth between the ages of 6-18. There are three groups: 1) "Ester Generation" for females, ages 12-18, 2) "Let's Talk About It" for sexual assault victims, ages 6-11, and 3) Y.E.S. group is for individuals, ages 6-17, who have been exposed to interpersonal violence.
W.A.V.E. (Working Against Violence Everywhere)
This is their youth public awareness program. This project provides prevention services to youth (between ages 13-24) targeting those who have been exposed to interpersonal violence.
M.A.S.H. (Men Against Spousal Harm)
MASH is a 26/52 week behavioral modification program for court-ordered domestic violence abusers based on the nationally known, Duluth, MN Domestic Violence Prevention Project. The goal of MASH is to hold abusers accountable for their abusive behaviors.
ABEL'S Program (For Survivors of Homicide Loss)
This program is for individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one due to a violent crime. Trained staff assist with filing claims for burial, counseling, leave time from work and court support. Advocates help the survivors of homicide acts to understand the legal procedures in the justice system.
Healthy Relationships Initiative
The objectives of our Healthy Relationship Initiative are: to advocate for strong and healthy marriages, to reduce out-of-wedlock pregnancies and to encourage the involvement of fathers in the lives or their children.
Behavioral Modification Training Institute
This program was to provide domestic violence and sexual assault training for law persons, social workers, law enforcement personnel and clergy.
New Beginning Shelter
The New Beginning Shelter provides a 24 hr safe shelter, support groups, legal advocacy and make referrals for victims of domestic violence and their children. We support victims of domestic violence in making healthy plans for their lives without abuse.
Our House, Inc., in collaboration with The Domestic Violence Project, Inc., has established a Rural Legal Services Program to provide civil legal representation to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating victims. Direct legal services are provided to victims in matters arising from abuse or violence within (19) counties in the Northern and Delta area of Mississippi.
