In 2011 Mississippi Lifeline continued to assist persons in Crisis Situations. They assist:
Sometimes people just need someone to talk to and MS Lifeline will listen in a non-judgemental way. They do not attempt to solve life's problems, but offer unconditional love to all its callers.
Occasionally people find themselves in a situation that occured without much warning. They often need a financial helping hand until other arrangements can be made. MS Lifeline has helped pay utility bills, and?or mortgage or rent payments.
They also continue to extend services by way of their Reassurance Program. This is where they call "shut-ins" which have currently 13 people in the program. One phone call is made daily, but they are allowed to call any time.
