BBB Focus Luncheons
BBB Focus Luncheons draw on the expertise of our Accredited Businesses to help educate and develop other businesses and their staff. We have a monthly Focus Luncheon at our Burnsville office the second Wednesday of each month. Focus Luncheons are also held in St. Cloud, Rochester and Fargo. Topics at each luncheon vary. The cost to attend, which includes lunch, is $15/person for Accredited Businesses (or $25/General)

Special thank you to Think Mutual Bank for being the Presenting Sponsor for the monthly Twin Cities Focus Luncheons.

We are currently accepting presentation proposals for next year's Focus Luncheons (July 2014 - June 2015) from our Accredited Businesses which will equip fellow businesses with practical and relevant information, skills and tools. Learn more about the opportunity and how to submit a proposal.

BBB Orientation & Networking Breakfast
Held quarterly, the BBB Orientation & Networking Breakfasts are free – and a terrific opportunity to meet other business professionals and learn more about the BBB and the advantages of accreditation. Orientations are held in our Burnsville office, as well as St. Cloud, Fargo, and Rochester.

BBB Networking Mixers
Networking Mixers, held a few times throughout the year at local breweries or restaurants, are a great way for Accredited Businesses to unwind and meet other business leaders in a fun and relaxing environment. Free or discounted food and drinks are available. BBB Networking Mixers are typically free and held in the Twin Cities, St. Cloud and Fargo.

BBB Nights at the Minnesota Twins
Throughout the year, the BBB partners with different organizations to offer fun networking outings to different events. Some BBB Nights in the past year have included: BBB Night with the Twins, St. Paul Saints, Timberwolves, Lynx and more. Typically, a special allotment of tickets is available for Accredited Businesses, friends and family.

Torch Awards for Ethics
The Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for Ethics (formally known as the Integrity Awards) recognizes companies who display an outstanding level of ethics and integrity in all of their business dealings. These companies generate a high level of trust among their employees, customers and their communities. This award is open to all for-profit businesses in Minnesota and North Dakota, who are in good standing with the BBB. A company must first be nominated for the award, and are then asked to complete a formal entry. Entries are reviewed by an independent panel of judges, who determine the finalists and winners in each category. All companies are recognized at the Torch Awards for Ethics Ceremony in October. Learn more about our Torch Awards for Ethics.

Business Ethics Summit Series
In partnership with the Center for Ethical Business Cultures, the BBB is proud to offer a Business Ethics Summit Series. This quarterly workshop brings together small to mid-size business owners and ethicists to have candid conversations about real-world challenges that business owners face with HR, finance, marketing/social media, operations and legal decisions. BBB at BizTown
The BBB is proud to partner with Junior Achievement and their BizTown program! BizTown is a 10,000 square foot kid-sized city nestled within Junior Achievement headquarters in Maplewood, Minn. Each Spring the Better Business Bureau hosts “BBB Day at BizTown" and recruits 10-20 business leaders from our local Accredited Businesses to help the students (grades 4-6) run their companies -- everything from securing a loan at the bank, serving customers, making payroll, becoming BBB Accredited and being a consumer with the other businesses in BizTown. This unique program is the culmination of classroom-based economic curriculum where students enjoy a simulated real-world experience at JA’s experiential learning lab. Students apply their new skills in a fun, hands-on learning environment. For more information, please contact Lisa Hiebert at
