Customer Reviews Summary
|Dec. 29, 2014|| We smelled gas coming from the basement and yesterday the technician from Centerpoint found out that the source of the gas leakage was from the gas pipe connected to the dryer. Our owners have American Home Shield Insurance so our maintenance agent gave **** from Adam's On-Time Plumbing my phone number to set up a time for him to come and fix it.
**** from Adam's On-Time Plumbing came to fix our dryer pipe today (12/17/14). After inspecting the dryer in the basement, he determined that there were other things that were not installed according to standards so he called American Home Shield to ask for approval to replace them.
The American Home Shield agent put **** on hold and called the owner for approval since it's not covered under the insurance policy, so the owner will have to pay for it out of pocket. The American Home Shield agent then got back to us and told **** that our owner has approved of the additional charge but asked **** to call our agent for payment. **** called our property manager and got his voice mail. After leaving a voice mail, he seemed very angry and stormed upstairs from the basement and said that he's leaving. I don't understand why he suddenly just turned 180 degrees and got so angry.
I followed him upstairs as he's storming out to leave and asked him if he will come back after my property manager calls him back with the payment details since I know that my property manager is usually pretty responsive. **** said No, that he doesn't have the time to make calls all day and that the next time he'll be available will be after Christmas. It's 12/17/14 today and Centerpoint shut off the gas line to our dryer so that means we'll be left without a dryer for over a week in this freezing winter.
I asked **** to give our maintenance agent a call and see if he'll call back instead. **** called and apparently got our maintenance agent's voice mail as well so he just said that he's leaving. Take note that all of this just happened one after the other. It's not as if he even bothered to wait for a few minutes for my property manager or maintenance agent to call back. I told him that I will pay first then, so he finally agreed to stay and do the job. As he was collecting his tools and supplies in his car, I called our maintenance agent and told him what happened. My maintenance agent told me to tell **** that our property manager will call **** right back for the credit card information and to ask him to please wait.
After **** came back in, still looking angry, I told him that our property manager will call him right back with the payment details. He just stood next to the door. I asked him 'You can't start the job first?' since he said that it'll take between 1 - 2 hours. He said 'No. Unless you write me the check first. If he calls, then I won't cash your check'. I couldn't understand why he's treating us like crooks???
He finally got a call back from our property manager and went downstairs to start the repairs. I usually stay with the technician for repairs just so I can let our agent know what exactly has been done, but **** was still angry and was throwing metal around hard. I felt unsafe so went back to the dining room upstairs. It is two floors up from the basement, but I can still hear him throwing heavy objects around hard. I felt so unsafe I had to ask my husband to drop everything at work and to just come home. **** finished in half an hour even though he said that it will take 1 - 2 hours and made it seem like waiting for our property manager to call back will be wasting a lot of his time.
I felt that his conduct was very unprofessional and threatening. I reported the incident to my property manager and my property manager said that they will file a complaint and make sure that they no longer send Adam's On-Time Plumbing any work orders.
So ****, if you want to treat people who are paying you to keep your job like crooks, be rude to them, and also throw things around their property and make them feel threatened, then you will no longer receive any work orders from them. Understand clearly as to who is letting you keep your job!|
