Business' Initial Response On Sunday, August :25, 2013 at 12:22PM, Mr. ***** placed on order :for> a Costco Membership certificate. He received a confirmation number *********. A second, order also Went through confirmation *********. We do not.'have access or authorization to ' - automatically charge someone. My best guess as .to what happened s that the order Was '1n processing and submit was hit again resulting in two orders.
At 2:50 PM the same day Mr. ***** Sent an e-mal asking that We remove the charge immediately. This was on a Sunday and no one was physically in the Office.
On Monday, August 26th, We processed the refund and notified Mr. *****. Monday afternoon at 3:O7 PM Mr. ***** sent an email that he did not receive the credit. It would not have shown on his account immediately. A Credit card refunds typically take a few days.
On Tuesday, August 27th, M1r. ***** sent another email stating he did not receive the refund and Wants to be reimbursed for his overdraft. We apologized for inconvenience and explained that we cannot refund bank fees.
I am including copies of the email correspondence.
Please feel free to Contact me if further information As needed.
Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I did not click submit a second time. I know hos internet transactions work. through the fault of this company solely I was overdrafted by $36. I will not accept less that the full reimbursment of these funds.
Complaint I have contacted 121fulfillment numerous times regarding not receiving my item that I ordered. I do not believe that this company is a legitimate business because their telephone number comes up as a different company. I have lost money to this company and would like it back. I placed an order for a Costco membership through their national membership program using this company on 01/26/2013. The company said it will take up to 14 days to arrive. I contacted customer service on January 31st and they said the item was mailed out 01/29/2013. I have checked with the Post Office and they have not seen any letters from this company. I contacted them again on 02/06/2013 stating that I would like my situation resolved. Lady just hung up on me. I have waited that long and have not received anything to date. Customer service told me they would send my concern to corporate. Not really sure what that means. Product_Or_Service: Costco Membership Certificates Order_Number: 000017451
Desired Settlement I would like my full refund back of the purchase price of $55.00.
Business' Initial Response 121 Marketing Services Group has a DBA as 121 Fulfillment. The Costco Membership Certificate orders are processed under 121 Fulfillment.
We apologize for the customer's experience. Our records show the following timeline; 1/26/13 - Customer Places order via the 121 Fulfillment referring website. Customer receives a confirmation e-mail indicating the delivery may take up to 14 business days from time of order. 1/29/13 - Customer's order is shipped via the USPS first class mail. 2/4/13 - Call is received from customer and shipping date of order is communicated. 2/6/13 - Customer sends e-mail to email@example.com 2/6/13 - Customer calls again, however due to the nature of the phone conversation and the behavior of the customer it is escalated to Costco Corporate Membership Certificates. 2/13/13 - Costco Corporate indicates a message was left with customer. As of this communication neither 121 Fulfillment nor Costco Corporate has received any further response from customer. It is likely that the customer has received the Costco Membership certificate sometime prior to 2/20/13. Again we apologize for the customer's experience. Our normal processing of the Costco Membership Certificate orders is an order is received and within 5 business days is shipped. Since these orders are shipped via first class mail. The USPS indicates they will arrive within 5 to 7 days. Even if the processing takes the entire 5 days and the mail takes the entire 7 days, we are still within the 14 day timeline indicated to the customer at time of order. At this point, since our Costco corporate contact has reached out to the customer with no response, we are under the impression that the customer as received the membership certificate and does not require a refund. We encourage the customer to reach out to our Costco Contact and we can help facilitate that if necessary. Please advise if there is anything further we can do to assist.
Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Costco has not left any messages with me. On 2/6/13 I notified the company that I was going to file a complaint with BBB and my bank by email, customer service lady states that I sent a very "nice" email to them and that she can only give the notice to her boss after the 14 day deadline. I have not contacted the company since because of the procedures they have in place to handle complaints. I still have not received anything from them til this date. The company did not notify me that they contacted Costco Corp.
Business' Final Response The credit card company has debited our account in the amount of $55 as a chargeback therefore we cannot issue a refund. The certificatres are sent via first class mail. We do not require signatures therefore could not provide a proof of delivery. We are not disputing the chargeback so the customer should be receiving a refund on his credit card statement. This should resolve the issues for Mr. Vilayvanh
