      Handi Medical has a notorious problem of going well beyond their service level time frames. Over and over and over again. I don't know why we continue to use this company other than there are few DME companies out there. They service to the disability community and put a lot of people at risk because they are not being properly reviewed or mandated. Their inability to communicate effectively between their own departments, their blatant lies about status updates, orders, and service is just astounding. We have experienced this repeatedly and we have been more than patient on very basic items of repair needed. When you service to a community that is reliant on their services and they are wheelchair bound, there is an expectation that you do so with integrity and speed. AGAIN, my husbands primary wheelchair has been in need of tires for 4 weeks. Was told 2 weeks and now when we call they have yet to find parts??? He is a paraplegic in a back up chair for a month. BBB please read their ****** reviews. This is a company that needs to be penalized, fined, something so they choose to do the right thing. If they cannot do a timely repair dont take the item and promise otherwise.

      Can someone actually do something to a company that should be regulated when you are working with people with disabilities? This company is riddled with complaints everywhere and no action is taken years later. We have experienced this countless times and decided, enough is enough and our voice will be heard. The many instances we have personally experienced clearly indicates this company does not care about the customer and what is sad its the disabled community that HAS TO RELY on their services. Their inability to communicate effectively between their own departments, their blatant lies about status updates, orders, and service is just astounding. We have experienced this repeatedly and we have been more than patient on very basic items of repair needed. When you service to a community that is reliant on their services and they are wheelchair bound, there is an expectation that you do so with integrity and speed. 7 weeks we have been waiting for my husbands wheelchair to be serviced and every time we call in a different story is told. Its heart wrenching that your company does not care about my husband's medical needs and again this is nothing short that normal from your company. We have experienced this repeatedly with your company. At what point do you realize you have an issue and fix it?

      Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. First and foremost, we apologize that this customer had a negative experience at **********************. It is our intention to provide our customers with enriching interactions that add value to their lives. Per this Customer Review, communication regarding the repair of a wheelchair was inconsistent, frustrating and requires action on the part of Handi Medical Supply. After a thorough review of the situation, we narrowed the cause to multiple missteps by our service coordinator team. Supporting documents were not sent in a timely manner to the physician to order parts needed for the repair when the quotes were obtained by 12/13/2021. We also sent for an authorization on one repair order that was not required, further delaying ordering the parts and completing the repair. All parts needed for repair are currently on order and expected to be received on 2/14/2022. We have met and reviewed this case with each member of the service team involved to ensure we are timely with our ordering, that we provide accurate information on status updates, and that we follow through with our commitment to enrich the lives of our clients and caregivers.We have spoken to this customer and his spouse regarding this order. We believe they feel our solution is acceptable. We are confident these improvements will demonstrate an enriched experience for your members and our customers.
