I worked with S. Robideau Construction to after I had water damage in my house from a broken washing machine on my second floor. I would say that the work done was fine but the company is lacking in good communication. The project manager who came and looked at the damage asked what I wanted for the replacement of the sheet rock for my ceiling and I said I wanted to replace the glitter that was originally there so it would match the rest of the house, he said that they could do that. When the workers come to do the work they took out the bad sheet rock and replaced it without adding the glitter so I called them back and asked why they said they would put that back, but didn't. They said they couldn't find a replacement for the glitter. If you aren't sure you can get something they should just say we will try and look into getting it, not just say oh yeah we can definitely do that. They eventually find a glitter/glass pieces to spray onto the ceiling and come back and do that. Then I send them my final payment from my insurance company and they cash it July 2022. I confirmed with my insurance adjuster what I needed to pay and what they were covering. Now December 2023 after not hearing or receiving any letters from this company they called me three times within 24 hours to tell me I still owe them around $300. I called the company to confirm that it wasn't some scammer and it was someone who worked for the company. I requested them to send me a bill because I never received a bill since 2022 saying I still owed them money. A couple weeks later I have not heard from them again and still have yet to receive a bill detailing how I still owe them money. My opinion is that this $300 some was something the insurance didn't agree to pay and now they are trying to get me to pay it. All in all just very weird and I hope I never have to deal with this weird business again.

The work was completed to the customer's satisfaction and we have this file as closed.
