This company was a preferred Contractor Referred by our insurance company. They were unnecessary for the hot tub and hot tub gazebo claim,, they created havoc and bad will. They presented themselves from almost day one as a totally self serving and self interested in what they could demand from us, unscheduled is often times is when they showed up and not when requested. It in our opinion was poorly managed company and made a nightmare out of a very basic claim. This claim that did not need them at all as the *** *** *** *** company could have and has for years done Insurance claims for many insurance companies on their own. However these people assert they subcontracted verbally, though not in writing *** *** to do almost the whole project, by the amount type and people who were from there that did the project. such as all the work assembly replacement building ordering shipping and product line of the *** *** & ******. WE made complaints to our Insurance company about them and wanted them removed and stated we never needed them in the first place because even though they eluded to us they were building the gazebo, they never were going to build the gazebo and knew that from the initiation of the claim so we think it is they would profit as the middle man . In the survey from our Insurance company that is owned by the members, we suggested it was a waste of money and resources what this company did, that this contractor if you are surveying us, be removed from the list and that we did not ever want to work with them, we thought once they made the estimate it was forced upon us. The whole situation and issues were compounded by them is how we perceived it as the paying customer of the insurance company and their client. I believe it was motivated in retaliation that this company threatened to place a lien on our house, and as they sent a letter stating they told our insurance company they would use any and all means including litigation and reporting to creditor agencies even though we have an almost paid off home and excellent credit. Imagine this is the company our own insurance company preferred and wanted us to use as their customers so now we have an antagonistic environment with our own insurance? See how they could cause us havoc and willfully just to have us capitulate to their tactics. They are now still bullying us for under $1000.00 worth of what we disputed as after the fact add on fees unknown to us prior to our complaints they said we owed them for a still as yet uncompleted project still to appropriate hot tub functionality for nonrefundable depreciation. The full deductible was paid to *** *** and this company appears to be trying to use their dispute with their subcontractor to get more profit money, from this insurance middle man sweet deal for them, out of threatening us. I believe they handily profited from this claim as a supposed general contractor per their definition. These constant replicated scenarios could be why cost of insurance premiums go up and keep rising if this is how the industry looks the other way and contractors conduct business to make the consumer the scapegoat unless they hire a lawyer or go to conciliation court. However at this specific amount you could not file a claim, hire an attorney send the letters or take off work to go to court to stand up for yourself and not have it not end up more than the nuisance amount they harass you for, so they get rewarded for this bad faith behavior.
