BBB Customer Review Rating plus BBB Rating Overview
BBB Customer Reviews Rating represents the customers opinions of the business. The Customer Review Rating is based on the number of positive, neutral and negative customer reviews posted that are calculated to produce a score.
|Customer Review Experience||Value|
|Positive Review||5 points per review|
|Neutral Review||3 points per review|
|Negative Review||1 point per review|
BBB letter grades represent the BBB's opinion of the business. The BBB grade is based on BBB file information about the business. In some cases, a business' grade may be lowered if the BBB does not have sufficient information about the business despite BBB requests for that information from the business.
BBB Letter Grade Scale
Star Rating scale
BBB Customer Review Rating plus BBB Rating is not a guarantee of a business' reliability or performance, and BBB recommends that consumers consider a business' BBB Rating and Customer Review Rating in addition to all other available information about the business. If the BBB Rating is NR then only Customer Reviews are used for the Star Rating.

Complaint: Job not completed in a timely manner. Entered into a contract with Everlasting Homes in August 2013 for an upstairs remodel and roof replacement. Roofing was completed on schedule and remodeling started as planned. Majority of work was completed by April 2014 with the exception of screen porch door installation, custom window installation along with a punchlist detailing multiple items that was provided to Everlasting Homes on January 26, 2014 and updated on July 20, 2014. We have sent multiple emails and made multiple telephone calls over the past year. Limited response between June & September, no responses since mid September.
Desired Settlement: Complete project with custom window installation and other items on punchlist provided on July 20, 2014.
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2015/01/09) */ I have spoken with **** the owner. We have agreed for me to come back on January 19th to finish the punch list. We have both agreed we will work out the final invoice and bring the whole project to an agreeable finish. Please let me know if any other action is needed Thank You

Complaint: Almost 5 months later the job has not been completed. Many emails and phone calls have been ignored. This is an insurance claim for a dual mailbox / post that was destroyed by an automobile. The post is shared with a neighbor. Almost 5 months later the job has not been completed. Many emails and phone calls have been ignored. I have been asked by my neighbor and mail carrier when the new box will be installed. I have been contacted by the insurance company handling the claim asking if the claim is still active. I feel the length of time and unresponsiveness of the company is unacceptable. Below is a (mostly complete) timeline of contact with the company. Week of 2/3 - An internet search for a home repair contractor directed me to Everlasting Homes. An online request for estimates was sent from the company's web site. 2/11 Business principle (**** ****** (President) agreed to request to inspect and provide estimate for replacement of custom built mailbox. 2/15 Principle was provided with insurance claim information and was to start the job the week of 2/17. 2/17 Inclement weather delayed the start date. No further updates. Large snowbank keeping damaged box / post upright. 3/13 Principle was to arrive to start job. 3/18 Job not started. Splints and clamps now needed to keep post upright. Unknown date. Principle arrived to place a temporary box post and take the damaged one to duplicate construction. 4/27 Request on status of job. No reply to emails. 5/8 Request on status of job. No reply to emails. 5/12 Request on status of job. No reply to emails. 5/14 Request on status of job. No reply to emails. 5/15 Principle replied - personal issue has put jobs behind. Mailbox material ready to assemble and paint. 5/30 Job has not been completed. Request on status of job. 6/3 Request on status of job. No reply to emails. 6/8 Request on status of job. No reply to emails. No replies to status requests. Numerous phone calls made to principle. No response. 6/11 Was able to speak to principle. He stated that he has been very busy and is short on manpower. He would contact me 'next week'. 6/27 Unanswered phone calls 6/19, 6/25, 6/27. Messages left to please contact me. 6/27 Email sent offering a delay to this BBB complaint. Asking for a reasonable date that the job will be completed.
Desired Settlement: Asking that the job be completed as promised and in a reasonable amount of time. I would like to be updated as to the completion date.
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2014/08/15) */ I have no contract with the customer nor have I received any monies from the customer. Circumstances beyond my control have lead to a situation where I cannot help with this job. Suggests going with another contractor as stated previously, no contracts or monies have exchanged hands. Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2014/07/31) */ Was able to contact the business owner on 7-8, after many failed attempts the 3 weeks prior. I explained it was not my intent to potentially harm his business reputation with the BBB complaint. I asked that the job be completed as promised so the complaint could be settled. His reply was another excuse and he would get back to me. No attempt has been made to contact me as of 7-30.
