Complaint: This company does not have any manners or cares of any damages they make in propertys they get hired to work on.
At the end of August this company was working at the townhomes that I live in. during their time working at this property they were working very unorganized,things all over the place,throwing things down damaging plants,hanging baskets,and many decorative things in the front of the townhomes.Nails all over the parking lot, my neighbor pick up a gallon bucket full of nails after they were done working here and they are still showing up in the tires of the husband truck got a nail in the front tire of his truck,after a few tries to get a hold of them to tell them to pay for his tires all I got was rudeness from the manager.Then I asked for the owner phone # and it was even worst(I could not believe I was talking to the owner of the company) He was rued and disrespectful tours me.He laught at me as I was trying to explain my situation,When I told him I didnt apreciate him laughing at me,all he had to say was that he was not going to talk to me and hang up on me.My husdband truck tire could not be fix and he needed he needs to replace the tire for a new one.costco and other tire companys recommended that we replace all 4 tires due to the fact that the truck is a 4 wheel drive and the tread depth difference on all 4tires is not going to be the same.It can cause premature and/or damage to the transfer case and/or differencial.Got all paperwork ready, finally talked to someone else in this company and still have not resolve anything.2 months later we still have not gotten any answers.

Business' Initial Response
Advanced Exteriors installed a new roof on this property on August 10, 2011. The job site was very organized and kept in a proffesional and neqt manner. We have pictures of the job site and in fact those pictures are on display at the *** in Brooklyn Park. The store manager ant *** was so impressed with the organization and the job in general he asked if he could put the picture up at their branch.
Not only did my crew chief, my sales representative and the sales manager from *** inspect the job on a regular basses but we also met with the owner of the building when the job was completed. On the site visit the owner of the buildings and Advanced Exteriors staff walked the entire job site and could not find one singel nail or piece of debrie.

Again this job was done on August 10, on September 9, 2011 the complaintant went to *** wit a nail in their tire. I have a copy of the paper work from *** however there are no costs on the paper work only a hand written letter at the bottom saying they need all new tires. It also states in the paper work that they fixed a flat, rotated tires and balanced tires but no cost. It also states that the odometer reading on the 2000 Chevey XXXXXX miles. Also on the paper work from Costco there is a section of notes which is not hand written by the way like the part that says they nedd all new tires, it stated that the owner of the vehicle wants up graded tires \" since he ways the truck down a lot.\" I have a copy of the Costco receipt dated 11/15/2008 which shows the Michelin LTX tires were installed on the truck. The odometer reading was XXXXX miles.These tires have 48,402 miles on them and have no tread left. Even if the owner of this vehicle didnt \"way his truck down a lot\" the tires neede to be replaced. I also have pictures of the tire, it has no tread left in the middle of the tire. Not only are they bald but if this vehiclke is used for any type of work the DOT would red flag this vehicle until the tires are replaced for safety reasons.

I tried to speak with the complaintant once in October, I was proffesional and did my best to communicate with her however she would not stop yelling into the phone. I told her three diffrent times or at least reid to over her yelling that I would not continue talking with her unless she stopped yelling and allowed me to respond. After several attempts I simply told her I would no longer carry on a conversation with her since she seemed unable to have a two way conversation she just wanted to yell and do all the talking.

In an attempt to resolve this issue which I dont belive was caused by Advanced Exteriors, I had a reperestitive call her on around October 20, and tell her we would be willing to cover the cost of the tire which we got a cost of from *** of $237. The complaintant called back and said she wanted $377 dollars. She ws told the $237 was what we would pay and we have not heard back from her since so Im not sure why she says she has not gotten any answer.

Here are the facts as I see them:

1) Complainant got a flat tire one month after we worked on the property.

2) there is no proof that the flat tire was caused by Advanced Exteriors.

3) The tires are 3 years old with 48,500 miles of heavy loads on them and they are bald.

Advanced Exteriors has treid very hard to deal with the complintant and deal with her complaint. I feel we have made more than a fair offer to replace the one tire even though the nail they had in it could have been picked up any where a month later and the tire is warn out.

Consumer's Final Response
Consumer states that she is seeking all four tires to be replaced and therefore covered by this company. This is due to the four wheel drive state of the vehicle and one wheel replacement will result in all four.

Business' Final Response
Business informed the Better Business Bureau over the phone that they are standing behind their offer of covering the cost of one tire. It is up to the consumer whether or not she wishes to accept their offer.

Complaint Resolution: BBB determined the company provided proper verification that indicated there was no obligation to resolve the issues of the complaint.
