      they are the worst, I have called so many numbers for them and tried my sign-ins for the online system. NOTHING there is nobody there!

      On January of 2017 Securian Financial Group illegally terminated my subcontract that was setup through Harbenger Partners. I was not an employee of either company but a sole employee of my own company. During the exit interview they used the term 'staff augmentation' which would imply I was either an employee of Harbenger Partners or Securian Financial Group and entitled to all benefits and bonuses associated with being said an employee which I never received. I was simply told on a Monday morning my contracted was terminated without warning. The full reasoning given was that I was leaving early on Fridays which they did not like and also criticized my reasonings for taking personal, unpaid, time off. However I was not authorized to work over 40 hours in a week, which I did. I had organized my schedule in such a way that I was done with my 40 hours of work by mid day on Friday so I was able to enjoy the summer weekends a bit more. The work done was required to be done in office on their machines and I was not authorized to do remote work nor was I given remote access to their systems. I also never received anything but praise for the work I was doing my any technical professionals I worked with in Securian Financial Group. Due to the stress and anxiety of the entire situation I had to push it out of my mind for my own mental state as I did not have the time nor resources to deal with it at the time. This message is strictly for public information and legal action with be taken against them in the coming weeks

      Horrible. Needed to extract some money for an emergency situation. First, with a direct deposit to my bank which didn't happen and they blamed the bank. Then, I called and requested a check which wS supposedly sent to me but I just never got it. They wanted to send another one. I'm waiting a few more days, but if it doesnt show up, will ask for proof they even sent it. This is ridiculous. The customer service representative wouldn't confirm a date, just said she was going off the date I requested it. How are these people in business?

      My review is repetitive with so many others. This is a horrible company that just wants to rob you blind. They never notified me of a huge, huge huge increase in the premium. I’m sure they got the direct mail returned to them as undeliverable, but they did nothing to follow up to let me know that my increase would be in the thousands of dollars. All they care about is profit. Good luck trying to cancel the account! It is an ordeal. Any company that makes it that hard to stop doing business with them cannot be trusted. Please keep this in mind before you give any of your hard earned money to these robbers.

      Actually I can't comment on their customer service since none of their phone numbers work. Everytime I call I get a "Your call can't be completed at this time, please try again later." I get this on every phone number I can find for them so I sent an email to them using a link on their website and got an error message.

      Horrible, horrible service. Please don't consider them for life insurance. I enrolled with them in the fall of 2022. My insurance agent told me that I could manage my asset allocations through a Securian portal. After enrollment, I contacted their customer service two times and both times were miserable experiences. Their IVR system doesn't store or transfer any of your inputs to the next agent. I had to repeat my policy, SSN, phone, beneficiary at least three times to three people. I had a simple policy and they kept telling me they had to transfer me to a "specialized" dept. So, each transfer resulted in my repeating at least 6 pieces of PII. After they received my payment, I got portal access but I wasn't even able to reallocate anything. Customer Service at Securian mansplained and told me the process was too complex and only my insurance agent was authorized to reallocate my assets. My insurance agent was shocked. I've been managing a separate portfolio through Fidelity for 20+ years and I've done just fine reallocating assets. I cancelled the policy in January 2023. AFTER my surrender form was uploaded to them, they still deducted a premium for January after the surrender form date. I asked for a refund. My insurance agent asked for a refund and told me it would take 7-10 business days. I still haven't been given a refund. I used their Contact Us form and it errors out. Basically, their IVR, their training for their service agents, and a basic website are all bottom tier. Make your life easier and choose another finance group. You will regret choosing them.

      I would rate a negative zero if I could. The customer service is a joke. You never ever reach a live person. No matter what response you provide to the so called security questions is always considered wrong.. forget resetting your user name and password.. it is flipping impossible. I feel as if my funds were stolen. If I would have known how absolutely terrible this company was I would have NEVER participated

      ZERO IS MORE ACCURATE. I have loan payment policy incase of disability. Unfortunately I needed to claim this as I have since been deemed permanently disabled. It is a nightmare to collect. They require paperwork re filled out every 3 months and be under care of the doctor, even though I’m considered permanently disabled. According to SSI , I am not required to see any doctors regarding my disability. It’s permanent with no hope of ever getting better. Rehabilitation has ran its course. I’m sure you can reasonably understand the reluctance of a Dr that I no longer see, to fill out paperwork. In addition, it is incredibly difficult for me to travel an hour each way, to maybe get it filled out. Since the loan is from one main, and the insurance company is also owned by one main, it’s clearly a policy to either not pay out or make it incredibly difficult to collect. These are predatory companies and hopefully someone reads this before it’s to late for them to find a reputable company to do business with!

      Absolutely horrible customer service and forget about ever rolling over your assets to another retirement plan. They will hold it up for months on end with absolutely no reason given. Worst retirement plan or financial group I have ever had the misfortune of working with.
