My daughter started at new horizon academy Columbia Heights December 2021. She is scheduled for 2 half days Monday and Friday. She got sick after her first day so didn't return her second day but you still had to pay which I knew is a rule. Same for days they are closed. Her 2ed week( 2ed day attending) I notified the childcare worker in room that she will be coming Thursday and not Friday due to the center being closed and I wasn't paying 176 for 5 hours of care... agian. She replied "ok". When arriving Thursday I was told the room is full and I told the wrong person. This was not explained to me at my tour or when I paid. This obviously wasn't explained to the employee either as I was given the ok. Despite this, they STILL kept my money and refused to credit my 2ed day. At this point I have given them close to $360 ( not including enrollment fee of $125) having received ony TWO HALF DAYS ( under 10 hours) of childcare. I immediately ask for corporates number having been completely ripped off and told its in the paper work. I have not found anything stating employees can not change your days or who to tell. Zero courtesy and it was only her second week and right before Christmas. I asked for corporate number and received a bad number so I Googled and found the correct number where I spoke to *******, I believe. She seemed very nice and on the same page agreeing the employee shouldn't have done that. She informed refunds are not something they do but she will "talk to her boss on my behalf ". As of now I haven't heard back.I sent two emails to the center about my daughter not being in this week. I have had no reply. I trusted my daughter at new horizon having previously had years of mostly good experiences with my son. It is only right I am refunded or credited for that day I was told was ok to change by an employee. That employee cost me to miss work and I shouldn't loose even more money on top of that. It's not ethical and it's just not moral
