My son bought a car through this company barely a month ago! The night he bought it, he found that one of his tires only had 1 lug nut holding it on. There was 1 lug nut that was sheered off and the others missing. We proceeded to buy new lug nuts and thought the problem was solved. Well it wasn't and he again almost lost the tire. We had it towed to a trustworthy repair shop that informed my son it would take $2000 to fix the issue because low and behold, the tires were all almost bald and they wouldn't release the car that way because it was unsafe! So they basically sent my son off with a car that was extremely unsafe and because of the way the law is written, they don't have to take any responsibility what so ever. Hopefully none of their loved ones ever get screwed over but people like this!Original Owner Autos, Inc. Response

All our cars are used and sold as is. We offered your son a warranty but he declined. We definitely will look at the car for you guys. Im not sure I understand why the lugs are falling off but we definitely will look into it. Please call so we can assist. We are here to help in any way possible.Review from Robert G B

I recently tried to buy a Toyota Corolla from Ryan at Original Owner Auto's. He passed me along to Walt in finance, who proceeded to jerk me around for several days. I was willing to make a full price offer on the car, as I live in far Northern Missouri. I have never worked with such a poor company in my life. Good evening this is ****. I answer all the phone calls for the dealership. When you inquired from out of state and needed financing, I referred you to **** after you filled out ************** on our website. This is standard in most any dealership. **** is our finance manager.
**** was not jerking you around rather trying to reach out to our lenders multiple times and get an approval for you.
Unfortunately, we have limited lenders to out-of-state customers. Your application did not pass through to our route one finance portal when you submitted it so we asked if you could redo it again or you would have to wait until he had time to manually process the information when we were not busy.**** is the only sales/finance staff on site and sometimes we have five or six customers at one time so he does his best to accommodate everyone.
In the meantime, another customer purchased the vehicle. This was a 2008 Corolla with only ****** miles so you can imagine there was very high interest in this vehicle, hence why you were inquiring from out of state. Im sorry you are so unhappy with the situation and that the car sold so fast. Good luck in your search.

This is simply a case of a customer that lives out of state that was unhappy with the car selling so fast on him. There was no foul play. There were many people that were disappointed that the car sold to fast. We had at least five or six customers come in the same day that wanted to purchase that vehicle after it was sold. This unfortunately happens often when there is an attractive car that everyone wants.

Ryan is a ****, told him I was coming to look at a car he wasn’t even there. The guy that was there was not interested and was no help when asking questions. I asked if he had any service records and they said just look at the car fax. Then I said the vehicles were notorious for head gaskets and he told me it passed inspection from car max after telling me he didn’t have any service records. If it passes inspection then you’d think a honest person would show you the inspection. Then I asked if he had any wiggle on price he got pissed off, had a smart ass attitude and hung up on me. This place is a scam, they are trying to sell a Mercedes that’s in perfect condition that has had airbags deployed and been totaled. Such a waste of time.Original Owner Autos, Inc. Response

This is **** and I was never once rude to you. You were just upset we were not willing to take your offer of 50% our asking price. Anyone would understand that. I also did NOT hang up on you clearly we ended on the note of you saying if I change my mind to call you and I said I wouldnt be that is all as we dont take offers of 50% asking price. I answer the phone calls for the dealership that doesnt mean Im going to be there. That being said we have a sales person that is happy to help show the customers the vehicles. Yes we have Carfax on our website we cannot provide personal records even if we receive them with the vehicle for privacy reasons. You were more than welcome to get any car inspected before purchase but when you offer 50% out asking price there is just no reason to waste the time on inspection. We are not selling a totaled out ********* It would say it was totaled In the Carfax. If you actually read the report it says moderate damage, airbags deployed. It does NOT say totaled or severe damage. But thank you for saying its in perfect condition as it is really clean. If offering half the price is asking you are firm on 6k and then saying Im starting at 4k is 50% then you need to go back to school and learn some simple math. Typically negotiations work by starting with a high and low number and you work to reach an agreement, you dont tell the customer they are ******* crazy and to get the h*** out of here. Then claim its in perfect conditions tell me you have no service record but then say it was inspected by car *** but can produce the inspection report. Anyways dont buy from these scammers. I looked a week longer and found a 2010 Caddilac DTS from the original owner with the same mileage and actual service records for 1000$ less than this con artist was selling a **** that smelt like coolant blowing out of the vents.Review from Tim G

An awful place and I should have known better.They told me the Escalade I bought there was perfect and no reason to get a warranty. Within 1,000 miles I have had almost $3,000 in repairs. These guys are ********** and will tell you anything to sell a car.Original Owner Autos, Inc. Response

Hello *** this is **** Im the gentleman that worked with you and who personally drove that vehicle for months before we sold it to you that Saturday. You have had this vehicle for 4 months, purchased back in September. That vehicle drove perfectly fine we had zero issues with it we actually did a lot of work on the vehicle which included: A new transfer case, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, fuel pump, and a resistor switch for the fan. You never once called us about a problem with the vehicle this is the first we have heard. Not sure as to what you put $3000 into that vehicle but it is a 2007 with well over 200k miles so its not gonna be a new vehicle and will require maintenance. I personally drove this vehicle for over two months and loved it. You asked about a warranty that wouldve cost you over $2000 and We easily couldve up sold you on a warranty and made money off of it but thats not the type of people we are. You asked for my opinion and I personally would not have purchased a warranty on the truck just due to the miles, the age of the vehicle and the cost of the warranty. Not sure as to why you would state we are a sociopaths. Thats excessive just because you are angry. You should have reached out with your first problem on the vehicle like I told you the day we sold you the vehicle. I stated if you have any issues to contact us because we give discounted rates to our customers at $50 per labor hour at a shop in Richfield that we use and have an agreement with.
