Since December 14, 2007, the Better Business Bureau has received complaints from consumers indicating that the company has charged them in advance for loans ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. Complaints indicate that the company requires payment upfront which is equivalent to 4 to 10 monthly payments.

Consumers also indicate that the company promises that the loan will be deposited directly into consumer accounts within three to five hours. However, consumer have yet to receive any of the funds. To date, all complaints are pending.

Consumers should review the BBB's general advice on ADVANCE FEE LOAN SCAMS. It is ILLEGAL to require any money in advance of providing a loan.

Since December 5, 2007, the Better Business Bureau has received 12 complaints from consumers around the country indicating that the company has charged them between $785 - $1,598 for loans ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. Complaints indicate that the company requires an advance payment which is equivalent to 4 to 10 monthly payments.

Consumers also indicate that the company promises that the loan will be deposited directly into consumer accounts within three to five hours. However, consumers have yet to receive any of the funds.

The BBB visited 275 E 4th St and verified that there is no Suite 306 at that address, and the building manager verified that Trillium Lending has never rented in their building. As of 12-18-2007, mail has been returned from Trillium Lending Company at the above address.
