Extremely disappointed with this service. We hired them for a pretty challenging heir search and understood that it would be more costly than normal. But their level of updates and communication were very poor. I was promised regular updates but always had to be the one to inquire before an update or research summary report was provided; I would give them 4-6 weeks before checking back in so they had sufficient time to update me. I have worked in the field of Trusts/Estates/Probates going on 20 years and have never had this poor of an experience with an heir search company. They made promises they wouldn't keep in regards to communication and cost. They gave a fantastic initial impression of being professional, however, I am left at the end of our professional relationship feeling like I've been taken advantage of. I would send an email and often not hear back until I reached out again to request a response. Their research summary reports did not provide the amount of information that you would expect considering the time that had passed and the hours they had billed for. When we initially signed up they believed 25 hours would suffice since we already had an abundant amount of leg work fully documented and established for them. After nearly 6 months they asked for 20 more hours to finish the job and then after another 3 months, with the lack of communication continuing, they had yet to finish their research and asked for 10 more hours. At that point I had to cease services and end our professional relationship. The professional relationship got progressively worse. When I would ask specific questions about how they were completing their diligent research, they would respond with vague and broad answers. A Manager ended up getting involved and somewhat helped us finalize the process so that we at least received the report we could submit to the Court. I would never work with them again, that's for sure.
