The Better Business Bureau serving Louisville, Southern Indiana, and Western Kentucky is now accepting nominations for the BBB Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics.
The mission of the BBB is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. The annual Torch Awards event is held to recognize and honor those companies and non-profit organizations whose business practices and related activities in the community exemplify the BBB’s mission. The program awards businesses and non-profit organizations that maintain a solid commitment to conducting their business practices in an ethical fashion. No award could mean more to a business or organization's reputation than a BBB Torch Award!
Anyone is eligible to nominate a business for the Torch Award, including the business itself! Accreditation with the BBB is not required, however all companies and organizations that enter must be in good standing with the BBB for consideration. Entries are evaluated by an independent panel of judges. Businesses are awarded in up to four categories based on the number of employees and organizations are awarded in up to two categories based on total revenues.
Nominations for the 2014 BBB Torch Awards are open until September 5, 2014. Nominees who meet entry criteria will be invited to complete a formal application and entry process. The winners will be honored at the Torch Awards luncheon on November 4, 2014 in Louisville.
