            My car was suppose to get fixed and the owner told me everyone I called which was once a week that my car was up next to be serviced. My car had been at their shop since March. When I got to the business to pick up my car(which service still had not been completed on it) the owner said I owed over 1800 dollars more on the car. I had to put down 750 to start the process of ordering the part to my car. The part was 1000 dollars and the whole total amount of the car for parts and labor was over 2600 dollars. The owner was trying to charge me for everything and she had not done the work. If anything, I should have paid the remaining balance of the part which would have been 250 dollars. She(owner) told me 3 different stories on where she ordered the parts but could never give me the number of the company she ordered from. I started calling companies and the manufacturer of the part to see what the price of the part was. She(owner) was stilling lying about everything. 750 dollars which I paid and they charged me 780 on my credit card was suppose to be credited back to my card(750). It has not been credited back to the card. I called them this morning 6/2/2022 and they hung the phone up on me. I’m filing a complaint through BBB, the state of Kentucky

            All communication and estimates have been documented and recorded. The customer called us at the end of March about her daughters BMW that had supposedly been shot at with a bullet to the convertible top. I told her how we had a list of people in front of her but that we could work her in if she was okay with that. The customer agreed and asked us if we could store her vehicle until then due to the fact she had no garage and her daughter was in college. Until a deposit is given on the top, which is stated non refundable, due to the fact we cannot send it back, we do not begin the process for the customer. Mrs. ***** was satisfied with us working her in and therefore gave a deposit at the end of March which began the process for us ordering the top. She was quoted 2495 plus tax and gave a $750 deposit. She used a credit card which had a 4% fee added too it, which is stated in our office. Mrs. ***** called us weekly asking about her vehicle, which we repeatedly told her how we had many convertibles in front of her and that when we got to her vehicle we would let her know. On May 31st Mrs ***** unexpectedly showed up to the shop in rage about her daughters vehicle. With customers around, they were astonished by the way we was treated and talk to. Mrs. ***** began to go back on her words that she had once agreed to, stating that she would of rather had her vehicle with her until we was ready to perform work - which would of saved myself storage & hassle of pulling in & out every day. She also was frustrated about the fact that multiple convertibles that was here when she dropped her vehicle off, was no longer here because they were completed. (Which is because they was on the schedule.) Mrs. ***** caused a stir up for my customers that was here at the time & demanded me to call my distributors who I get my convertible tops from. I gave Mrs ***** the number to call & she said she could get the top $200 cheaper than what our pricing was, which I told her from the beginning she could get her own top. She than began to harass and demand answers about the total and the breakdown. The labor portion was $1500, which would make the top portion $995 totaling up to $2495. Since she had given a $750 deposit her remaining balance was $1894.70 WITH taxes included. Mrs ***** continued to be very disrespectful in front of people, resulting in me making the decision to give her a refund and refuse business. The following day Ms ***** called the shop, on our recorded line, and cussed an employee because she had no received her money back yet on her AMEX credit card. My employee tried to explain how it could take 2-3 business days for it to return but Ms ***** continued to talk over her and hang up. She then called again the following day & did the same thing. Mrs. ***** will no longer be allowed to have services performed here due to the extent of disrespect she went to while at our shop. She even told her daughter to leave the office so that she didn’t do anything “ugly” to us in front of her. After trying to make things work for Mrs ***** & squeezing her in, we were still unable to please her. She has received her money back & we have documentation. We have not heard from her since.

            They lied! First of all, this is my daughter’s car and it was parked in the college parking garage so which the police notified my daughter and said it was broken into not only her car! The owner of the shop tried to charge me 1800 more for the top and the top was only 1000 dollars. I had already paid 750. So I should have only paid 250 more for the top. After I put a fuss about her trying to charge me extra, the owner stated to me that she would do everything for 1500 which included top and labor. At that point, I didn’t trust this company! chame. This company is shaded. Yes, they finally refunded the money after I had my credit card company dispute the charges!! Bad service!

            Unfortunately this is why we refused to do business with Mrs *****. She continued to go back on words said and make a scenario. None of which makes sense.. She first stated above how the top was $1000 and the total came to more than $2600, which she was nearly correct. After taxes the total came to $2644.70 with parts and labor. I’m not sure why she believed once she she showed up that she should only have to pay $250 on top of her $750 deposit when the balance was $2495 plus tax. We’ve been in business 37 years & have never had a comment or customer act like this. We appreciate the feedback and wish you best of luck with your BMW.

            This company is not worthy. Like I said the total amount of the car was labor/ top was 2600+. I paid a deposit of 750. The labor charges that Emma(the owner) told me was 1500 dollars. The top was 1000 according to Emma. My point is she tried to charge me 1800+ when she came to her business. She wakes in, had a number circled which was 1800+ and said that owed that if I wanted two take the top for the car. Like I said, I HAD TO POINT OUT TO HER she was wrong! I ask her to give me all the numbers she called to get pricing on the top. She first told me Miami distribution, then she said she called BMW to get pricing while never giving me phone numbers to call myself. I took it upon my self to call BMW and the manufacturer of the convertible top which is Robbins. Emma(the owner) told me that Robbins does not sale to the public. When I called Robbins, the lady said that that have been selling to the public for over a year! I’m not going back and forth with this company. I know that they lied and my trust in them was shattered. From this point on, I will not respond to them. Like I said before, my 750 is back on my card and IM GLAD I’m not allowed in your establishment because that was not going to happen anyway on my end! U think I want to come back after I have complaints on the business!

            Nobody ever gave you the offer to buy the top, you have made that up upon yourself. We do not sell tops therefore we would never sell a top, especially to a customer that has started a disturbance. The amount was 2495 plus tax POINT BLANK no ifs, ands or buts about it. You can say your half of the story, but it is incorrect & you know it. We have it all on footage with the office & outside cameras & everything was recorded and watched.. Appreciate the feedback once again, sorry you have frustrations built up and took it out the day you came in, wish you the best of good luck with your BMW getting a top put on correctly.             The only offer EVER on the table besides the 2495$ which included top & labor, was YOU purchasing the top from Robbins & us putting it on for the 1500$ labor fee. The offer was taken off the table once you continued to belittle everyone in the office in front of customers.. Glad we can both be happy with the decision of services not being performed here.
