I discovered which carpeting in the basement called my insurance company All State , and no one ever returned my call to come over and look at the basement I called a plumber to look at the plumbing in the basement. He informed me that that looked like mold and his personal opinion or professional opinion that he thought I should have someone come over and abate it and test it. I did that, and indeed it was mold in the basement, I again called my insurance company and still no one came over to look at and evaluate my basement. I had someone come over and remove the mold and treat the basement for the mold to be cleaned up. This was after I was given permission or the OK from All State to go on with the abatement. It took several months For the company to get paid for cleaning up the mold every time he’s submitted information and documentation of what had been done. All State came back with yet another request of information they needed this went on for weeks. Finally All State paid him for the abatement, however, they are refusing, not wanting to pay me for the things that I lost. My basement was finished , they had to rip out cabinets that were down there because there was a small kitchen area with a sink and cabinets that had to be ripped out all the carpeting down there had to be ripped out. I lost some drywall and some insulation I had a full bathroom downstairs. Had to rip out the sink in the bathroom the cabinets in the bathroom the toilet And the flooring that was in there not to mention the furniture I had downstairs there was a queen size bed that was a couch a couple cabinets for storage and a lot of the normal things you would find in a small basement space or in a basement space when the basement is finished All State is refusing to pay for the replacement of those items and is not paying for my basement to be refinished. They’re not wanting to pay or repair my basement to the state it was before this happened.
