Problems with Product/Service

Complaint: I received quotes from 2 companies for installing insulation to my house. One of those companies was kentucky Comfort Insulation, Inc. The quote from them was higher than the other company therefore i had the work done by the other company and Kentucky Comfort Insulation did not perform any work for me. Aproximately 4 weeks ago I received an invoice # **** charging me for work that was never performed. I contacted the company and asked them to correct the error in billing which they indicated they would correct. However, on August 9, 2014 I receive a second invoice for 1,355.91 for work which was never performed. I have reported the problem to Kentucky Comfort Insulation again, however, i am now concerned that this problem is not being corrected and may cause problems for my credit even though there is no basis for being billed by them since they never performed any work for me at all.
Desired Settlement: For Kentucky Comfort Insulation to correct their records showing that I owe them money since they never performed any work for me at all.
Kentucky Comfort Insulation received notification of a customer complaint against our company due to receiving an invoice in error. When the customer first alerted our staff of the error we had confirmed with the administrative office that the incorrect invoice had been deleted from our records and that we were sure there would be no further actions on our part taken to collect any funds from the client as we agree that no work was performed on his home by our company. Evidently, the invoice was mistakenly not erased from our records and due to our accounting software automatically printing open invoices, the client again by our mistake had received another invoice. I have now personally handled this matter and ensured myself that the invoice has been erased and voided from our records to ensure this will not happen again. This morning 8/11/2014 our office sent a formal apology to the client and explained the error and we hope that we can all work together to resolve this matter in a way that satisfies this customer.
