Complaint: On 10/14/2011, My partner bought a set of 4 window vent visors for my Ford F150 truck. The back driver's visor broke due to incorrect installation, and the lady at front desk said she would order one. I went back several times, and either they were not there during work hours, or a tech was in the shop, but would not answer the door. The last time I went in and spoke to the owner, ***, he said that it is not cost efficient to order just 1 and those were not in stock. He recommended that I just remove the 2 back window visor's. I told him no, it was a gift, and I want all four on. After a couple of more visits and phone calls, the lady in the front office stated that those are not under any type of warranty. We've been told that those visors were no longer being ordered. Our only option now is to pay an additional $25 to have new one's installed (another type of visor). We've been told that the visor's we bought are no longer carried and were "cheap". Now I have 3 visor's and one broken visor on my truck. When I roll the windows I have to be extra careful because of the way they were installed (something to do with internal vs external installation. I have my invoice/receipt and there is nothing about "no warrant. I asked my partner, who bought them, and she said that she was not told there wasn't a warranty on them. We paid $70 dollars for the visor's.
Desired Settlement: Remove the visor's and refund my money. I don't trust them to properly install another set.

Response:on 10 14 2011 she purchased a 4pc set of in channel ventvisors that we had in stock but was selling at a discounted price due to the fact they were left over inventory . She was charged $70 without a warranty and full price would have been $125 but also without a warranty . she came back in at the first of the year with a broken ventvisor they are made of plastic and are breakable and has nothing to do with the installation. she was never told by anyone they were under warranty and the nsame brand is available at ******* or any auto parts store and NO ONE offers a warranty on breakage. No refund is available and you can not just purchase one visor we offered to take off the rear two as they do come in a two pc set for the front only and that did not make her happy . But they were installed correctly and she claims it broke 10 days later but waited until Dec to contact us we are open mon - fri 8-4 and sat 8-12 and I know she did not come in with this problem until march I remember the exact date was march 5th to be exact because i was out that day due to my home in ********** being damaged by a tornado but i did speek with her later that week. I offered to meet her in the middle on a set at my cost and that was not something i had to do because she was never given a warranty . And as of now that offer on meeting in the middle is no longer available. Thank You

I just got my computer back and have been able to view or reply to this case. I have the sales receipt and there is nothing about no warranty. I asked the purchaser and she stated nothing was said about a warranty one way or another, but that if we had ANY problems with them, to come back and they would fix it. The problem with the visor was they installed the wrong type for my vehicle. That is the reason they broke. I am not happy with your decision to closing this so quickly.

Response:This now has been several months and the customer was told in the beginning that there is NO WAARANTY and all other businesses that sell autoventshade visors offer no warranty . All ventvisors are vehicle specific so therefor are the correct ones or would not even go on the vehicle .They were purchased and installed almost 6 months prior to her coming back with a broken visor. I am now finished with this customer and this will be the last responce from our company. sorry. They somehow broke there visor and no one is respocible for that but themselves!! SORRY
