I took my 2007 Chevy Silverado on June 4th, 2022 and spoke to ****** regarding a noise my truck was making and that it was possible the lifters needed to be changed. ****** agreed with me and said that in order to change the lifters and get rid of the noise he would have to change the top cover of the motor for a total cost of $*****. I agreed and I left my truck for a week and $***** deposit. I came back to pick it up on June 10th, 2022 and I checked under the hood. There was extra screws left behind, tools they had used, my hood was scratched, and there was no coolant in it. When I asked about the extra screws and the coolant ****** said he'd used new screws to place the new top on the motor and ended up putting the wrong coolant type on my truck. When I told him he was using the wrong type of coolant he said it didn't matter. I then proceeded to turn on the truck and noticed a slight noise but not as before. I decided to take it home, about 2 miles, and I began to hear the noise as loud as before. When I got home turned the truck off and back on, white smoke came out of the exhaust pipe. While driving back to the shop, a cover from underneath the truck came off on the road. I took it back to ****** told him a bout the continued noise and the smoke but all he said was he did the job and my truck had too many miles and in order to fix it he needed an additional $***** to replace the motor. He said if I wanted to to take him to court. My truck is still making the noise and keeps blowing out smoke.
