I was parked behind a construction truck while I was sitting in my car looking over contact details.The truck driver started up his truck and reversed/backed up into my stationary car. I honked a the driver to alert him that I was behind him however the back of his truck hit my car.The truck driver stopped, got out of his truck and apologised that he was not aware of me parked behind him.I took pictures of the damage, we exchanged insurance information and went our separate ways. I informed my insurance *** and sent an email to the truck drivers company manager.*****************************, safety director of the Southland parking **** contact no.: ************.The *** insurance issued a claim no. 015763027,claim service representative was *********************************, contact no.: ************.The ********************** safety director, ***************************** agreed in an email correspondence to pay for the car repairs and also on an email dated 5/3/2023 she agreed that her company will cover the rental car payments.The car repairs were done by Collision Caliber per insurance agreement.I paid out of pocket the sum of $500 before the car was released to me by Collision Caliber repair shop.The insurance informed me that I will received reimbursement for the out of pocket $500 but that the Insurance will not cover the car rental expanses. I had informed *****************************, ********************* about this ahead of time and she had agreed to cover car rental fees.However after following up with *****************************, Safety director for Southland parking *** and numerous emails back/forth to *** insurance and *****************************, she refused to pay for the car rental payment which I paid for out of pocket.I spoke with ***************************** and informed her about her agreement but she stated that because I involved the ***************** and not settled with her, no rental car payment
