- The transaction occurred on April 13, 2021. - I paid $2,237 for the tiles from Rivalda and approximately $10,000 for the independent contractor and construction materials. - The invoice number is ***** (******************************) - Rivalda provided us with porcelain tiles suitable for household flooring, we used a separate contractor to install them. - The tiles that Rivalda sold us for our main floor/kitchen are causing issues. About a month after installation, we noticed unusual spots/stains showing up on the main floor tiles. We tried different cleaning methods unsuccessfully, but we did not know the cause of these spots. - We consulted Rivalda and after a few conversations, they provided us with heavy-duty floor cleaners (which did not work). Finally, after another few weeks, they sent us a salesperson (Dominic T.) to our house to take a look. The salesperson confirmed the odd situation and continued to offer industrial cleaners for it. Despite these efforts, the stains on our main floor increased. - Finally, Rivalda sent a tile specialist and after that visit, we decided to conduct tests on our spare tiles from both the upstairs bathroom and main floor. We discovered that household vinegar solutions were responsible for these spots/corrosion on the main floor tiles (the vinegar did not stain the bathroom tiles). Porcelain tiles are made to withstand household liquid spills. - After this discovery, Rivalda was helpful at first, assuring us that they'll solve our issue to our satisfaction. However, their most recent offer was to solely provide the same tiles, but we would be responsible for the expense of removing the 15 defective tiles (32''x 32'') and re-installing the same faulty tiles. We declined this offer because of the greater cost of removal and installation, never mind the hassle of construction in our home for 1-2 weeks. - I have also attached a few photos of the stains on the tiles.
