On Sept 29, 2020, I placed an order for a new side and front door with Door Man Installations Ltd.; the order was completed on June 2, 2021. The numerous errors, problems and delays with the order resulted in me asking for and the company's owner (Bruce L.) agreeing to, a 20% discount. I received a warranty from both Mr. L. and his supplier, ****** ***** ***. prior to paying the invoice on June 24. On July 12, I notified Mr. L. and ****** that rust had started to appear on the side door and provided them with photos. I then spoke to Mr. L. who advised that ****** wanted nothing to do with me as I had not paid the invoice in full - presumably Mr. L. had passed on all or a part of the discount to ******. ****** never responded to my e-mails or phone calls. Mr. L. told me to wait until September to see how the rust progressed. On September 30, I e-mailed him to say that the rust had progressed, albeit slowly - I have been waiting ever since for him to do something. On October 25 he indicated that a new door had been ordered and apparently on December 22 it was ready for installation. Despite my numerous e-mails Mr. L. has not scheduled an installation date and at this point, I doubt he has any intention of doing so. On January 31, after a particularly cold period, I advised him that my front door was very draughty which could be related to the installation or weather stripping - he has completely ignored this. Mr. L. is clearly upset with the "discount" he had agreed to and even stated in one of his e-mails that it was "under duress". *** ******* *** ****** ** **** **** ** ******** *** **** ** ****** *** **** ************* ***************** *** ********** ** ********. At this point I am seeking a refund for the entire amount I paid for the side door ($2,034). I am tired of waiting and do not trust Mr. L. to provide the same door and install it properly and will also have to engage someone to address the draught from the front door.
