In December 2020 I hired Quality Exterior Systems owned by ********** to install new soffit, facia and gutters. The cost for this service was $5,028.56. In March 2021 the bathroom ceiling was leaking brown water. I called ********** to see if it was related to the new installation. He came to my home and without even looking into the attic or any form of investigation, he ****** fluffed me off and told me it was ice damming and that he won't do anything to fix that. In December 2021 I had the same issue in the bathroom. I invited several contractors to investigate the issue. It was confirmed that condensation was accumulating in the attic do to the lack of attic ventilation. This was investigated and confirmed by ************************ - a mold / building inspector specialist. The cause was investigated and determined to be that the contractor (an employee of **********) who installed the metal pieces did not cut in new vent holes into the existing plywood when the new soffits were installed. The lack of ventilation created condensation which in turn caused the perfect breeding ground for mold in the attic. ********** insisted this was caused by poor bathroom ventilation and refused to take any accountability for his actions. He even refused to fix the problem even though I sent pictures, emails and phone calls to report this issue. It cost me close to $50,000 to repair these damage, not including my family heath, my mental health and a 4 month leave of absence from my work to sort this out. Only half of it was covered by insurance. The building code was not followed during this construction project. The poor workmanship put me and my children's health at risk. The mold cause serious face rashes that lasted over 6 months and put my daughter in the hospital as the spores attached to her lungs. We were not able to live in the house for over 3 month while this issue was investigated and remediated.
