Hired this company to top dress my lawn ,front and back. Work was done on May 10/21.I was given a quote for $1994.45. They did the work and said i should water it daily, gave me the bill and left, The quote said ...top dress 5yards and over seed. Quote # was XXXXX and invoice number was XXXXX. It rained for the next 2 days and i went out to water on the 13th, which was when i notice a lot of stones and sticks all over my lawn. I called the company and asked why, the guy that answered the phone said he thought they used the wrong mix. I asked for the owner to call me. He called from Florida and i explained what was wrong and he said no that what they did was right and i should live with it for 2 weeks and he was sure i would like it. He said if i did not he would vaccum my lawn. 2 weeks later he came and looked at it and said it was fine and not to bother him anymore. i called him back and he told me he mixed mulch in with the soil and thus the sticks and stones. I paid them on May10. **Update May 28** When I filed the complaint I asked for a repair, If he has till June 25 to respond he will not do anything till the fall. I would like to file an amendment to my file and ask for a refund of $1400.00. On his invoice he said he would use 5 yards of fresh screened topsoil which he did not use and it also said he used 15 lbs of grass seed which I am sure he did not use. maybe 4 or 5 lbs.I would not be comfortable with him doing anymore work on my property as he is not trustworthy and I feel I have high heels that are higher than his standards.
