Fidler on the Roof did roof work for us in May 2022 and it has yet to be finished. The work so far is unacceptable both in the quality of the work as well as the appearance. Their failure to provide the work as agreed has caused various other issues which in turn have cost additional expenses. There is a signed contract and now there is a dispute about the appropriate payment owed.

We had hail damage to our roof and was looking for a company to replace our roof. We spoke with Fidler on the Roof and went to their show room in Oak Grove. We were impressed with the Shingles they suggested that we use on our older home. We love the Shingles. No regrets in the beautiful shingles that we choose, only in the Company we choose to install them. The problems started the first day when the delivery company that Fidler hired delivered the new Shingles to our home and placed them all in one area on our roof. We immediately knew something was wrong when we saw large ceiling cracks and wall separation in our upstairs rooms. Next we noticed the outside ***** were cracked in some areas, and finally we looked up in the attic and saw that there were numerous broken rafters. A call was then made to the delivery company to come back and remove the shingles from our roof, pictures were taken with a drone of the shingles on the roof. A call was made to a structural engineer. He arrived the next day and reported that approx. 13 rafters were broken and it had blown the walls out approx. 3/4 inch on one side and 1/2 on the other side, from the pictures of the shingles on the roof it was estimated that **** lbs. of shingles were placed in one area of the roof. Since the crew had part of the roof torn off on the east side, they finished shingling the east side and were told not to touch the west side, the more damaged side. The next morning, when the crew arrived, no one from Fidler was on site yet. The crew started tear off of the west side. When we told them to stop, they seemed to not understand and continued. Shortly after, someone from Fidler arrived but to communicate with the crew, the man from Fidler would have to call the ******* of the crew and he would have to call the crew. By that time, enough of the west side was torn off that the decision was made to just go ahead and finish the west side. The crew that Fidler had hired put on the Shingles did such a sloppy job, I don't know where to begin. The new metal that was used in the valleys, the crew put cuts all up and down them. When I asked if there might be a different way to cut the shingles as to not cut the metal, I was told that would turn a 2 day job into a 4 day job. The shingles were cut short in some areas and long in others, all four corners of the roof were shingled differently they used dark caulk in some areas and light caulk in others, they left old metal on where new metal should have been used and for the flashing around the chimney, they caulked several old pieces of metal together to form a bigger piece of metal? We have some flat roof areas, the roofing crew put a hole thru one of the flat roofs. While working on the roof/shingles, the crew bent up the gutters by standing in the gutters and when I taking a picture of one of the really bent up gutters, one of the crew looked at me and stated "the Ladder did it". The first weekend we had rain/wind and a shingle blew off. We also had rain coming in the kitchen area thru a light fixture. We spoke with Fidler about the above matters and they stated they would fix the problems. They did return and recut several shingles, removed the light colored caulk and painted the scratches/cuts in the Metal Valleys. You can still see the cuts, because the paint used is a different color than the metal. When asked about this, I was told "most people are not able to look out their window and see all these details/imperfections". Sorry to ramble on so long, but our experience was the worst possible and it is still on going to this day. Over 1 year later we are still in the process of getting everything repaired from so many unnecessary errors. FYI-to back up everything I have stated above, I do have numerous pictures, the structural engineer report and his pictures, and the numerous contractors that have been out to give bids on everything that needs to be repaired.
