Consumers should understand they have not won any money yet, for they have not entered into the sweepstakes yet. The mailing ask the consumer to return the Entry & Completion Form to see if their number is the pre-selected number. The mailing solicits the return of a notice to be a cash prize winner, but suggests enclosed payment of $11.89 to $12.99 for jewelry or a packet of information at the same time. Consumers should understand the suggested payment is to purchase an item from the company. Company's mailing states, A Purchase is not necessary and will not improve the odds of winning. Recipients of the mailing should not assume they need to buy the premium acquistion(coupon booklet)merchandise to participate in the sweepstakes to win the prize money. The bureau has received complaints on the merchandise sold by the company and from consumers who believed they had won a prize due to the firm's mailing. The company has been responsive to the complaints.
