Better Business Bureau files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints alleging concerning sales practice issues. Complaints allege that businesses receive phone calls from Regent Imaging Supplies giving the impression that the call is from the business's printer supply company in an attempt to lock them into contracts. The caller infrequently speaks with a representative of the business authorized to enter into servicing agreements
On August 21, 2014, the BBB contacted Regent Imaging Supplies asking them to address their pattern of complaints. Regent Imaging Supplies responded by pledging its commitment to eliminating the pattern and provided the BBB with an outline that they believe will help eliminate the pattern of complaints. Their plan is to take the following steps:
-Their independent sales companies be registered as telephonic sellers in accordance with law.
-Independent sales companies will monitor their employees to ensure that the callers properly identify themselves who they represent.
-Sales companies will have someone make a second call to confirm that merchandise was ordered, to inform the consumer of the name and address of the independent sales company, verifies the price of the merchandise, and confirm that the business's' representative is authorized to make the purchase.
The BBB will continue to monitor Regent Asset Management's progress in resolving this pattern of complaints.
