You have to live in a home for awhile before you can really get a feel for the build quality and I’m right here to tell you Shawn and Josh at Ashlar homes do not take any pride in constructing a quality home in fact our home was purposely built on two posts that were not tall enough making our main floors uneven, Ashlar homes did not care enough to get the correct posts so they went ahead and built on posts that were 2” short , that’s a builder that needs to be sidelined, Shawn w***’s doesn’t care about what he is doing . The purchasing process was terrible, Shawn and his side kick Josh already had their deposit and where just very rude people that didn’t care about the customer or the build quality, Low build quality and low moral character is what you find here .

Mr. G*******, as stated in your previous response we are sorry you feel this way. Ashlar Homes prides itself in building quality homes. After reviewing your file we see that during your one year full and two year systems warranty period you submitted one warranty claim to us which we came back and made repairs to. It is not clear as to why after four years in a home and no communication to us of displeasure that you would come on the BBB and give an unfavorable review, we stand behind our homes and take care of customer concerns that meet the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines, but we can only do so if the customer communicates issues to us. We have provided you with a 10 year structural warranty that if you feel you have an issue as described you could make a submission on this warranty and 2-10 homeowners warranty would be in touch to make an inspection. Should you need information on how to do this our office would be happy to help. The posts you mention in your description are beam posts and they are purposely adjustable so that we can fine tune them based on basement floor elevations, level and plumb. They are ordered to range between 2-3 inch increments and then adjusted in the field. You home passed all municipal inspections, we took care of all issues brought up during your walk before closing and we addressed all service claims communicated to us during your homes warranty period. We can only address what is communicated to us Again, we apologize that you feel your home has not performed properly, but should you think there is an issue please file a claim on your warranty we have provided you that you are still within the structural period.
