    August 15, 2011 Molle Toyota ran an advertisement in the Kansas City Star claiming to be the number one volume Toyota dealer in Kansas City from 1997 to 2010. The claim had an asterisk after it, but led to no further information. Upon request for clarification, Molle Toyota included all their ads that are properly sourced and explained that the #1 claim comes from Toyota Motor Sales Inc's sales rankings. It was a one time mishap. The Bureau considers the matter properly substantiated

    In July of 2023 the AC in my Toyota Sienna was not working. 1. at the end of July I tried to add Freon to the AC to no avail. 2. I took my Sienna to **** ****** *** * ****** ** *** ** ****** **** ****** ** **** ****** work on my Sienna 8/1/23 and called at the end of the day saying it was not fixed or ready. 8/4/23 I went to pick up my Sienna and ****** said "The compressor is not getting power." He recommended Molle Toyota. I drove to Molle Toyota 8/4/23 relating the information that ****** told me, "The compressor is not getting power" ******* ****t at the service desk at Molle Toyota said the compressor was getting power. Because I had no option available I accepted the offer of a Diagnostic exam of the Sienna's AC. of nearly 100 dollars. Saturday morning I received a phone call from Braxton Stout of Molle Toyota stating that I would have to get a new compressor to the tune of $2000.00 plus. I drove to Molle Toyota immediately and offered to trade in my 2003 Cooper and would pay extra for my remainder. ******* ***** was sympathetic: However, offered no other recourse, but the $2000.00 plus. I dont know it the compressor on the Toyota was getting power or not. Nor was I given information on the diagnotic other than a new compressor was in order. I dont know if I am a victim of some sort of bait and switch type of thing, but I am extremely uncomfortable with paying $2000. plus without a guarantee that a new compressor and connections would help with the AC problem.

    i bought a new 2023 tundra from 103rd st. store went in for oil change one of the service so call advisor talked down to me so i walked out. 2nd bad experience with the service dept. the salesman waited until i signed all the papers to then tell me i get only one key fob and wont get the other one for months to come. had he told me up front i would have never bought the truck and i believe he new that. so i now take my truck to adam's toyota there much more respectful and don't talk down to you. it's been over 3 month's and i haven't been contacted on getting the second key fob. i now have a ford on order Good by toyota AND MOLLIE EMPLOYEE'S

    Customer was informed of the key fob situation when the vehicle was purchased (as there is a publication released on the second key delivery program from Toyota 23t101, on June 15, 2023). Service Department has seen customer only 1 time (8/29/23) for lights regarding pre collision issue on dash, we determined that the stickers on the front windshield was the cause for the lights. No other service records on file with customer. 

    More on the Second Key Delivery Program: This is a Toyota publication, NOT Molle Toyota. The reasoning for the program is, a global semiconductor shortage impacting certain microchips - certain vehicles were delivered with one (1) Smart Key and a second mechanical key. The program is launched in phases due to parts availability. Only vehicles in the currently launched phase(s) will be searchable. There have been approximately 394,000 vehicles covered by this second key delivery program. Owner letter mailing dates were published as follows: Phase 1 - July 2023, Phase 2 - September 2023, Phase 3 - October 2023, and Phase 4 December 2023. These were all Customer Mailing, only. In this customers particular case, his vehicle fell in the Production Period that was going to be classified under Phase 4 mailing period, which would take place in December 2023, per Toyota Motor North America, referencing Second Key Delivery Program 23TJ01. Again, this issuance has been based upon production date of the vehicles & model / years.
