Complaint: I had submitted a claim due to a cancellation of a trip because of the death of my husband. I cancelled first with Rose Tours which is the company dealing with the vacation booking on Sept 8 2015.. I received the info I needed from them to start the claim with itravelinsured since I did purchase the insurance. On or around Sept 16th the proper paperwork was faxed over to istravelinsured. They could not read how I was related to the deceased from the fax and never called me, but sent a letter. Once I called them back to explain that it was my husband they said they would let the processor know. That was towards the end of Sept. I called back again on Oct 8 because again still no refund paid out and no contact from them. I was then told that Rose Tours had just submitted whatever they needed to on Oct 5th and that the info will again get sent over for a processor to review. I contacted Rose Tours and was told that was when the insurance company contacted them for the request of information. Now it's Oct 28 and I called them again this morning and spoke to a woman named Lavitra?sp.who said she would send an email over to the processor again!!! Mind you they say they handle claims within a 2-3 week time frame!!! This is ridiculous that I should have to keep calling them, and that they correspond through mail, which makes everything take longer, and that I have to deal with period when my husband passed away. I want my full refund back including the cost of the cruise and airfare as promised to me!!!
After receiving complete written proof of loss, any benefits due are paid. Upon receipt of a written appeal, the Company has an opportunity for further reasonable investigation and/or review. Following investigation and review of the information submitted, a response was sent to the insured in writing along with any benefits due under the contract.

Complaint: I purchased the travel insurance as the trip is due to job relocation. I was not aware that the reservation I made through MapQuest, could not be cancelled until I tried to do just that. I sent emails to the motel & insurance company with a follow call to the travel insurance company. I was given instructions where on their website to find the claim form, however, the amount of personal information and proof required to get my 56.74 back, was insulting. I was required to obtain a second TB test and work required me to stay at my current job until Dec 10th. It should have been a simple thing, show them I needed to have the reservation paid for as was in non-cancel status, show proof I'd paid for it and a legitimate reason for both, not a note from my doctor or supervisor or information so the insurance company can check up on me?
Desired Settlement: I want the money I paid to motel, $ 56.74, that is all.
iTravelInsured, Inc is a licensed provider of travel insurance. On November 22 2014 Ms. ************ purchased a travel insurance policy from us in the amount of $12.00 in order to protect herself from cancellation penalties should she not be able to travel to the lodging reserved online. On November 28 2014 Ms.************ contacted iTravelInsured to file a cancellation claim and she was provided the instructions to download the claim forms by our claims representative via phone.
As of today, we are still awaiting the completion of the claim forms to support the claim. Once this has been received, iTravelInsured will be able to promptly move forward with the review of Ms. ************** claim.
