    On 9/14/21 my 2005 was in the Midas Muffler shop at 804 North Sagamore Parkway Lafayette, IN 47904 for an alignment. Service was performed by "David" and paid $73.20 for adjustments. On 9/20/21 the same car was returned for front end shimmy resulting from the alignment. When told repairs were needed to upper control arms, an estimate was received. No work was authorized other than warranty. At least one bolt was broken on the upper control arm of the vehicle during the realignment process by David. The manager Marc Horton and the owner Mike Reed are refusing to release the vehicle without paying repair costs including labor. Currently the car is at his location with the threat of a mechanics lien Via phone call by Mike. I would like my car returned in "AS IS" condition. I will gladly pay for the 20 cents in new bolts I am told were broken by "David". This is a warranty issue. Case # 4241002 has been filed with Midas Corporate. Please contact via e-mail or text.     I took my car for Midas to fix my thermostat. They said they replaces it and charge me $600 when really it should have only costed $300. When they returned the car to me it sounded way different from when I had dropped it off earlier. Upon further investigation my car had damages done to it thats not costing me $800. The thermostat still does not work right. They said something wasnt plugged all the way. But unfortunately since they have lied to me I do not trust them. The thermostat still actually overheats. Ive already contacted better business. But they wont help. The owner is rude, disrespectful and dishonest. I have threatened legal action which they seem to be unafraid of. Also I told the owner he was not allowed to contact me after being so rude. But he still did. I have receipts to show that he contacted me after I told him that if he did again I would contact the police. Also the people own Midas dont actually care about their customers they only care about scamming people from their money.

We regret this customer is dissatisfied and has refused to return to MIDAS and utilize our warranty coverage to address her concerns.
