Pavers

Consumers should be aware that pavers do not need to be licensed in Marion County, therefore there is very little that can be done to verify the identity, etc. of some companies.

The following information should help you to choose a reputable paver:

1) Do you know the salesperson's name and the name of the company?
2) Ask for references, and check these out.
3) Did the salesperson "high pressure" you?
4) Be sure to get several estimates.
5) Does the company provide liability and compensation insurance to protect you/your property in the event of an accident?
6) Does the company offer a written warranty?
7) Does the company offer a written contract?
8) Does the written contact include all oral promises and a definite amount to be charged?
9) Are you asked to pay in advance or only after the work is completed, and you have inspected it and you are satisfied?

The BBB suggests that consumers not rush into anything. Contractors soliciting "door-to-door" should be thoroughly be investigated before signing any type of contact or work order.
