Since May 2016, the BBB of Houston & South Texas has received multiple disputes that exhibit the following pattern.
According to consumer disputes, it has been alleged that Fitness Connection has been providing poor customer service. The consumers have alleged that they are instructed they are able to cancel their membership by phone. After the cancellation they are receiving a bill for an annual membership fee and one month’s fees. The consumers are also alleging that when they call to inquire about the fees they are informed that they are to either request cancellation in writing via the website or at their local gym. The company is currently addressing all complaints with the Houston BBB.

Late fees are assessed for any past due invoices. It is your responsibility to provide Fitness Connection with current billing information at least 2 weeks prior to your billing date.
Account must be paid up to date.
Notice needs to be received 30 days prior to the member's next billing date.
Nevada / North Carolina: Notices delivered by certified mail or hand delivered (receipt given at the front desk) Must be outside of their obligation unless this is for a medical, military or moving issue. In these cases, proof is required.

Freezes must be submitted in the same manner as a cancellation and will be reviewed by our Corporate Office who would in turn approve/deny the freeze.

Although we process our agreement signatures electronically, we encourage you to read a paper copy of our agreement beforesigning. Please make sure you get a printedcopy of your signed agreementbefore you leave our facility.
There is an annual fee that we bill once per year. The bill date is dependent on your start date,which is explained in further detail in your agreement.
We automatically bill you monthly through a billing company named Jonas Fitness in NV, NC Raleigh,and TX and ABC Financial in NC Charlotte and NC Greenville.
Some of our service agreements have an obligation period where members must commit to the service relationship for more than 30 days;please see your agreement for more information.
Late fees are placed on your account if payments are delinquent.
