    I filed a dispute with Shell Federal Credit Union 2 days ago when I noticed my card was missing after receiving a deposit and was told that they will not help me because my signature matched on a purchase. I have a common name and my license was recently compromised also. I was interrogated by 2 different representatives at Shell and also restricted debit card use for 6 months. That is just a horrible resolution and I was at work during the time.

    Totally unprofessional. Only allow a $4000 per day debit transaction but do not inform their members until after the transaction has taken place. Embarrassing to say the least! I ordered a $7359 Hot tub from The Home Depot. A few minutes later I checked my E-mail for confirmation and see that is has been "Partially declined". I had MORE than enough to cover the cost so I called to see what the issue was. I was told that there was a $4000 limit on debit cards despite my having a more than adequate balance. I called the Home Depot from my wives phone and asked how I should proceed to get the rest of the balance to them. They told me that because the whole amount did not go through that nothing was charged but my account was shy $4000. I asked for a confirmation from The Home depot and was immediately sent an E-mail showing that nothing was charged. Then The Shell federal Credit union proceeded to demand a Letter head stating that from The Home Depot before they would refund my $4000 Mind you that this was an online transaction from The Home Depot Wearhouse not a store. in the End I am having to wait 3 business days for the refund that isn't a refund but a transfer BACK to my checking that Shell federal credit Union refused to transact from my account. They are the most unprofessional business I have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with them.

    I received a phone call from SFCU 2 days after my initial review. They had explained that the trouble was due to their phone support not actually doing what they should have. They apologized for the issue and promptly set my balance to the correct amount. I was assured that the call center was notified and corrections to their actions or lack their of would be changed. My thanks to the two people who took actions to correct this situation.
