If you are looking for the review that will stop you from moving into this complex this is it. I have been a tenant at Colony Oaks Apartments for 1.5 years to long and will be sharing my personal pros and cons. The pros are Ana and Edna in the main office have always been courteous and the location is great. The first con story I will share is one day I had a letter on my apartment door and it read that I was being accused of causing issues in the parking lot. After I responded to the letter it was determined I had nothing to do with the incident at all. However, Sandra which is the manager had her own personal opinion and vendetta against me. She was very disrespectful and said some things to me that were her own personal opinion and very unprofessional for a “manager.” I asked her who can I write a complaint to and she gave an official email which happened to be her email. The second story happened recently. My car was towed the other day after being parked in the designated parking area. Which I parked there because a car was already parked in my assigned stall. The office gave the tenants parking permits and I had mine on my vehicle. I wake up this morning to my car missing. After I located my vehicle and found that it was towed I asked Edna the reason and she said they can’t do anything and that they sent an email out stating that you have to have a different parking permit to park where I was parked. Then I find out Sandra the “manager” authorized the tow. Now, here are a list of Cons I have about this property. Inside the apartment there is a roach and flea infestation and my dog has also been infested because of it and it’s been going on for months even after treatment. There are stray cats all over the complex. The apartment I live in is outdated and falling apart. Outside the complex there is street parking and there has been many weekends with car windows be shattered and broken into including my own. Pic 1 is of a roach in pantry. Pic 2 is mold.

I have been living at 1900 Yorktown for over a year now and I have experienced mold in my home. I reach out to leasing office and corporate to let them know about the problem and I am pregnant I have health issues already and I do not feel safe. I had been having severe headaches due to mold so I went to the doctor and my doctor recommended to not go back to the apartment until they can 100% fix the problem. I sent multiple emails asking to release me from the contract after I have provided documentation documentation and property manager as well as her supervisor advised me that they will not release me because the problem is now fixed and I continue to experience headaches when staying in the apartment. supervisor over the property manager also notified me that she does not have a supervisor or anyone that's above her that I can speak with and is telling me I will need to pay $20,000 to get a early release.I believe that no one should live there and management does not care to provide a safe place for tenants because they send maintenance out temporarily fix the ongoing problem.

Horrible living situation at Creole on Yorktown. They only patch things up and tell you "well things do happen" what a disgrace of a human being. Bet if It was their home they would go out of their way to make the other person life a living hell. I live with big roaches and now the rat situation is out of hand. So scared to go to my kitchen. All they do is set rat traps but the rats are smarter than humans they just laugh at the traps. They do things within their "scope" so to say they are fixing the problem. Why not get a real pest control company. I wish that any day while you'll sit in the office rats start running around and on-top of your legs. See how disgusting it feels. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS IT UNFAIR, NASTY, HORRIBLE AND UNHEALTHY!!!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THE CREOLE ON YORKTOWN.

Shady company. Their Apartments on 9900 on memorial are infested with mold and roaches. They hire pest control companies that help them to hide the criminal activities. I have voice recordings between the manager of this property and the pest control company at which the later promises the property manager to hide everything that criminalize them. Apartments are infested with mold as well. I don’t recommend it.

I reside in Creole on Yorktown, I do not recommend this property. Staff does not communicate, this month alone we had 3 power outages not due to inclement weather. And it's. Its not Centerpoints fault. Grounds are unkept, apartments are outdated, repairs as re never completed merely patched over. I have been having issues with my ac unit for over a year now and they just keep adding freon. I have call corporate and they pass the buck as well and never return calls. Stay far away from this property or a MN y other finger property if this is the normal!
