Complaint: I want to complaint about the over charges for the electricity bill and the false advertising that was made. I was a customer of reliant energy for almost 7 years and I currently switch to V247 where I was promised to be charged 11.08 cents per kilowatt, my first 3 bills seemed to be fair in rates, but my December and January bill were absurd. I was being charged $500 a month for my utility bill and there is no reasonable explanation for the increase in utility prices. I house is a 1,200 square foot home and I do not have a workable a.c unit and my heating system runs on gas, so therefore I do not understand and the company could not explain the reason for such a high increase of the price. I contacted the company to resolved my issues and they sent Oncor out to my house and I have not received a letter of notification of what was resolved. I am willing to pay for the amount of energy that I consumed but now the sky rocketing prices they are charging me with.
Desired Settlement: I just want for the company to do the right thing and check into where did those high kilowatt numbers come from and settle this with me paying for the fair amount.
BBB's Final Determination: Business failed to respond to the BBB to resolve or address the complaint issues.

I received a call indicating that it was a service from ******* ****** (my electricity provider), that it was seperate deparment that will provided state help for my utility bill. The represantative asked me to answer several questions and asked me to provide my ESI number on my bill and my driver's license. I did as she ask, and then she told me that I was going to be sent a package in the mail that would indicate my elegibility. Thereafter, I called ******* to inquire about the program - that is when I found out that I had been changed to a different electicity provider.
