Do not make the same mistake I did; do not sign up with appealpropertytax.com. When I looked on the HCAD website and saw the terrible job they did with the protest they filed on my behalf; I asked for, in writing, a telephone call to discuss my case. I soon received, in writing, an e-mail response telling me that I would receive a phone call. Did they do what they said they would? NO. Instead of any phone calls, a few months later they just started sending invoices in the mail (if the owner of the business tries to deny any of these facts then he is liar). Ultimately all they wanted was their money and they sued me to get it. You have so many options for your protest services, please learn from my mistake: do not sign up with a service provider who stays unaccountable to you; do not sign up with appealpropertytax.com.

Mr. Kelty, I am a little surprised about this review. You were a client of Appealpropertytax.com from 2013-2021. We initially started by representing one property for you, but in 2017 you added a second property. This signifies to me that we must have been doing a good job for you to stay for so many years and to add an additional property. In 2021, we protested both of your properties and reported the results along with invoice in July 2021. Then from August 2021 to January 2022 we reached out to you numerous times about your unpaid invoices by email, mail, and phone calls, with no response. We were left with no choice but to pursue small claims to get paid. We did the work and earned our fee. With regards to contacting you, it looks like we tried to reach you several times at the number we had on file, but we were never able to leave a message because it says there is no mailbox set up. If you would have responded to any of the many times, we reached out to you, then we would have been happy to discuss the case with you. By the time you contacted us, your hearing had already been completed. It looks like from your email you wanted to discuss the house across the street, but this home is not comparable to yours. Your home is not comparable in size, your CDU is superior and your property has had an extensive remodel, while the property across the street only had a partial remodel. All of these factors would make the market value of this home less psf than yours. We have no problem being accountable to our clients. We just were unable to contact you to discuss. This case was settled in March 2022, so it seems a little odd that you would decide to leave a review/comment one year after the fact.
