Complaint: Service began in April with first visit from technician, ***. He could not find an immediate issue, filled up the refrigerant, said it may have a slow leak. July 18th at 5pm, came home from work to find no air. Called *** ********, rescheduled appt with Pro Tech, technician *** came again on July 21st, was rude to my daughter, was asked to contact the gentleman owner of the home, he did not. Stated he still could not find a problem, added more refrigerant and stop leak. July 25th came home at 5pm again, no air. Called ProTech directly, scheduled appt for next day 9-11am, did not show. Technician, *****, called 2 hrs later, apologized and rescheduled for 6-7pm. After arriving stated the Evap Coil was bad and would need to call Monday to verify if under Manuf warranty. Multiple calls between both owners of home and Pro-Tech and *** with no results. Documented each call time and response. Called owner of Pro Tech, ***** was not interested in hearing of the multiple attempts to have repair completed and was still waiting on ***** to provide information to complete repair. As of today, one week later, Aug 1st at 4:13pm, still no air.

Desired Settlement: I am requesting the refund of $75 service fee and will have another air company to come repair and this out of pocket expense will need to be reimbursed.

In response to *******:

On 04/05/2014 our tech was dispatched to *******/****** residence ***** ********** ** ******* *****. via ******** **** ****** and found the AC unit to be slightly low on freon ,at this time the tech performed an electronic leak test and was unable to locate a leak. At this time he added freon per *** guidelines. 

On 07/21/2014 we were called back to the residence and again found the unit low on freon, the tech ran an electronic leak test again and no leaks were found. As per ******** **** ****** we added stop leak. 

On 07/25/2014 we were called out again, this time we found the coil tube sheet wore a hole in the coil and all freon was lost. My tech aquired model and serial numbers to check with manufactures to see if coil was under warranty. Upon calling they had told the tech the serial number was incomplete and could not warranty out with out full numbers. The tech informed me that part of the numbers were covered with duct sealant. We had sent the tech back out to try and remove the sealant to get the rest of the numbers. Upon arrival the home owners turned my tech away.

I rick d**** (owner) had never spoke with the home owners, only my office manager did when trying to schedule the appointment to see when they were available so we could retrieve the rest of the numbers, home owner set the appointment then upon arrival he was told that she contacted another company and no longer wanted him to get the numbers.

Pro Tech Air had collected a $75 service fee which is part of the home owners contract with ******** **** ******, on 04/05/2014 and made no other charges to the home owner.
