Complaint: Upon finding the the website and reading they buy and recycle old electronics, faxes printers and such. I called and spoke with someone who said they would gladly accept items. Asked the description of items and asked if I was a business. I informed him these were items we had sitting in the garage and we no longer use so we want to sell them as recyclable as the website eagleelectronics.com describes. We arrived only to be treated as beggars, and told they do not buy items people have to throw away... "Is this not what your website advertises?!", I asked in complete shock. They said they only purchase from businesses in large quantities and by the pallet load so they can't accept my items and told i could just throw them in the trash.Their website tokens the green movement so again we were shocked. I verified again and showed him I had 14 faxes and printers and if stacked on a pallet, they would be what he insisted they purchase but not list on the site. I then said, "Well you guys can't accept these to recycle, can you keep then since I dont want to put them in the trash?" He then just about ripped my door open to climb in my suburban and happily began to unload. Which I then informed them I would be contacting the BBB since they are falsly advertising. I kept my stuff and found another company who properly weighed and looked my merchandise over and payed.
Desired Settlement: Review www.eagleelectronics.com and speak with someone there, they claim to be affiliated to the BBB yet they did not honor their advertising.
