Consumers allege that this company does door to door sales, posing as a competitor whose service the consumer is currently enrolled.  They encourage consumers to unwillingly sign agreements by stating that they are attempting to lower their current rate for gas services.

 Spark Energy continues to utilize a third party marketing plan that is misleading consumers by misrepresenting  themselves as the current gas company and consumer later will find out that it was actually Spark Energy.  Consumers are being sent to collection agencies for an unpaid bill for service that is not authorized, complainants allege.

Recent complaints received, consumers have alleged that sales representatives for Spark Energy have allowed non authorized persons to sign contract other the person on account.  

Another Recent complaint the consumer alleged that multiple representatives for Spark Energy ignored "No Trespassing" signs and made multiple sales calls to consumer and neighbors.

Consumers have alleged that Spark Energy is deliberately targeting senior citizens, one complaint alleged the sales rep signed the contract for one consumer who was legally blind.

A recent complaint alleged that Spark Energy were soliciting apartments and telling occupants that the Landlord had switched service and need to see bill for use.

Recent complaint from customer in Illinois alleges that door to door sales were issued a citation by local police for not obtaining a solicitors permit.
