Complaint: ****** ******* doing business as Blue Marlin Construction contracted with me to build-out (turn key) a media room in my attic. We agreed to $6,000.00. He added $600.00 to hire a certified air condition technician to move air ducts in the attic. Mr. ******* ended up cutting air ducts himself! After weeks of getting nothing done on the media room, I began to question his abilities. I contacted a certified air condition technician to check Mr. *******'s work. Mr. ******* became very angry and combative when the certified technician questioned his work and stated that he was not doing a proper job. I realized I'd made a bad decision in hiring him. In saying just that, Mr. ******* heard me and immediately returned the key to my house and began packing up his equipment. He left my home without completing the contracted job as we had agreed. He stated that he would return the full amount that I'd paid him ($6,600.00) and that he only needed 10 days to get the money. Mr. ******* never refunded my money and he left the job. I attempted via letters and text messages to get the money returned as he stated but he only threatened me to put a lien on my home for some unknown reason. I believe this was to scare me in not pursuing a lawsuit against him. What he did was unfair and unprofessional. I would like my money returned to me. He did not even start the media room and I had to have the air ducts put back together by a certified technician. I will be happy to settle this matter with Mr. ******* as he did put up three ceiling fans and break down a wall. He also put in approximately 3 rows of hard wood floors in one room (which had to be corrected by another contractor). He also cut some bushes and trees in my backyard and hauled them away. However, he is not entitled to all of the money. I would agree to $6,300.00 refund although I think that is a huge overstatement of the work that he did.

Desired Settlement: I will agree to $6,300.00 refund.
