Complaint: Failure to properly remedy hydraulic fluid spill in my cul-de-sac. Scraped drive way. On May 24, 2013, HTM delivered an empty can for roofing disposal. The delivery truck spilled hydraulic fluid onto my cul-de-sac. Several attempts were made to speak to someone to remedy/clean the street. After numerous messages left on the recorder, someone returned the call and said someone from the office would call within a few days. No call was received. After more calls to HTM, I was told that someone did come by to clean up the spill. No one came; spill not cleaned up. A call from HTM indicated that someone would check the street in 3 weeks. Three weeks have passed and no one has come to clean up the spill. Also, the delivery person scraped my driveway when delivering the can.

Desired Settlement: Remedy/clean the spill from the hydraulic fluid. Repair the scraped driveway.

Business Response: Business' Initial Response /* (1000, 8, 2013/07/05) */ False claim. The oil spill was from a hydrolic hose blow out that was cleaned on a later date. The client we have on file for this project is Brinks Roofing who signed our waiver forms anytime we drop bins off in private property that protects us from claims of this nature. We talked with Brinks Roofing and they were going to take care of this situation. We contacted the homeowner prior because we thought that he was the primary customer. We did more research and found out that it was Brinks Roofing and that is why we stopped contacting him and delt directly with Brinks.

BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
