    2/6/2024 ********************* picked up ram promaster city van 2017 from matson oahu booking number ******* Please know that I discovered a broken Left back door hinge after receiving my vehicle from Matson Oahu ******; this left door hinge was fully operable before and on the day of delivery to Matson ********** ********** to be shipped to ******.I used the fully operable door ********* that was intact and not broken as I opened both the back doors to fully clean the cargo area in the back of the vehicle, I then inspected the entire vehicle and again utilized the back doors and the ********* was fully operable on the same morning as drop off to ********** **********.The back doors have stickers on them at the hinges and perhaps the worker(s) did not follow direction and the door hinge consequently broke? surely they must have known when this occurred? again the back doors were fully operable and intact on the day of delivery to matson. I have attached/sent pictures of the broken left door hinge and operable Right door to show how it should appear; the left door hinge function is now broken so the door will not stay open properly and it will fly all the way open and or all the way shut without the door hinge stop that has been broken.Please know i use this van loading and unloading and surely the back door were intact snd operable- i am now having to ise a bungee and a plastic stop till i can get this fixed-I desire matson reimbursement for repair or matson repair the door. I am only looking to have an operable door stop hinge. *********************

    For anyone thinking of shipping their car to ****** through Matson, please consider this review. I had my car shipped through Matson after dropping it off in the port at Long Beach. I had registered and arranged everything online and prepaid. Got the emails and everything went smoothly until I went to pick up the car in ********. Upon arriving to the pick-up location, they asked me when I arrived on Island. Being truthful, I told them I had arrived within the past day. They then directed me to an area that had a clipboard with instructions to e-mail proof of my vaccination card and my drivers license. Nothing in any of the previous e-mails or notifications mentioned this critical part. I was also not told this when I dropped off the car in Long Beach. They didn't even ask for proof I owned the car when I dropped it off. I told them I just traveled and had the ** code from the site to prove I was cleared by safe travel ******. They still demanded I provide them proof of vaccination before they would give me my car. I felt I had no other choice but to comply with their demands. They took my ID and vaccination cards into their office to make a copy before they would release my car to me. This is a violation of my privacy. Having customers e-mail proof of vaccination introduces risk to their customers of having personal information stolen. Their workers would not allow anyone inside their office nor did I even do an inspection of my car with any of their employees. Therefore, none of their employees were at risk from anyone. Thankfully, my car arrived dirty, but undamaged and is the only reasonable thing about the whole experience, however the stress knowing that a private company is going around demanding personal information to which they have NO RIGHT, and keeping records of it is unnerving to say the least. Also, keep in mind that many other companies claiming to ship cars to ****** are doing so through Matson, so this may still affect you.

    We appreciate our Customers feedback. Since the start of the pandemic, Matson has followed all related CDC and local government guidance and health directives in an effort to protect the safety of its employees and customers. This included aligning our protocols for vehicle shipping customers who come to pick up their vehicle after recent travel to ****** with ********** travel mandate, which requires quarantine or proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results. We also respect and protect our customers privacy and while we continue to require proof to verify health status along with the identity of the person picking up a shipped vehicle, we no longer make copies of that information. Matson does not retain COVID-related information or copies of its customers IDs in any form.
