      This hotel hands down was the worst hotel my husband and I have ever stayed at. We went to ******** for our 25th wedding anniversary. We spent a pretty ***** too I might add. The Hotel room had roaches and small black bugs that were crawling on top of the desk and drawer areas. We spoke to another couple that had they same issue. Hotel management was notified and said we could move to another room but we would have to wait a day. With that being said and from what we heard from another couple who's to say the other room wouldn't be the same way. We couldn't get in anywhere else as the other hotels in the area were booked and were going to be almost double. We bought two cans of raid and sprayed every night we were there to no avail. It was the hotel from h*** We didn't want to go to sleep being afraid of something crawling on us at night. We complained again with hotel management when we were checking out and refused to comp us in any way. When we got home from our trip we demanded to talk to someone higher in the company. He ended up comping us for ONE night!! Really? Awful awful awful.

      Aqua-Astons *********************** Regional Vice-********** ********** Contacted me shortly after this review and refunded an additional two nights stay which was the right and professional thing to do, however it doesnt make us feel any better or bring back memories that should have been happy. Would NOT stay there again if you paid us. But thank you for your concern. Maybe try staying in one of your rooms for a few days.

      On December 24th of this year, the fire alarm went off evidently leading to all the hotels guests to evacuate the building, however, conditions were not safe and seemingly did not seem to be up to par with the fire code. Exits were not clearly marked and no instructions were posted upon what to do in this sort of situation. Guests were left to fend for their own; if this was more than someone simply causing the alarms to go off from cooking, someone could have seriously been hurt, or worse many could have possibly died. Guests just filled up the lobby with only one staff member being present, which was not the manager. Neither the manager or fire department showed up while guests continued to stay downstairs for 20+ minutes.Along with that, no preparations were made for the mass influx of panicked guests within the hotels lobby. Especially given the current circumstances of the world, with COVID still being present, and the Omicron variant on the rise as well. No management was willing to assist or answer the multitude of guests which called. It would be greatly appreciated if higher *** would acknowledge the strenuous work of the girl working the receptionist desk tonight and if someone could contact me.***************************** from ********* from The Aston Waikiki Sunset Hotel
